New Battle.net Balance Feature Now Available

Battle.net Balance is now live! As we announced previously, Battle.net Balance is a new feature that gives players an alternate way to purchase Blizzard digital products and services directly through their Battle.net accounts. Players are now able add to their Battle.net Balance using a variety of payment methods, and then use that balance toward select Blizzard Entertainment digital products and services such as World of Warcraft realm transfers, character name changes, and other paid services, as well as digital versions of select Blizzard games, including Diablo II and StarCraft II. In the future, players will be also able to use Battle.net Balance for the digital World of Warcraft Battle Chest and WoW digital upgrades and to purchase digital products, including World of Warcraft game-time codes and Pet Store pets and mounts. In addition, with the upcoming launch of Diablo III, players will have the option to use Battle.net Balance to buy and sell items in the game’s currency-based auction house.

For more information, check out the Battle.net Balance FAQ, or head to the Battle.net Balance page in Account Management to manage your balance.

@Cremation:Maybe I'm wrong but Battle.net Balance looks like a financial scam. In simple words once you add any amount of money to your Battle.net Balance it will not be refundable and you are not able to convert that Balance into cash. That means that your money is not your money anymore, unless you decide to buy designated Blizzard Entertainment products. So you are forced to choose between two options: 1st - buy designated Blizzard Entertainment products or 2nd - give up your money and give it away to Blizzard

@Cremation:Blizzard: "Any amount you add to your Battle.net Balance, either through an approved payment method or by adding Diablo III auction house earnings to your Battle.net Balance, will not be refundable (except as otherwise provided by law), and you are not able to convert that Balance into cash.

Doesn't sound very legal.

To be honest, if they could implement this as a way to pay for WoW, I'd be happy. I don't really like using external services such as PayPal, so I normally pay with my bank card. But the idea of topping up the website and having it come off automatically seems quite nice, tbh.

Maybe they will implement the PayPal option later for the EU based players. From what I have read a couple of months ago, they are still dealing with some pre-financed issues regarding those transactions. I have no clue if this is true, but if it is - it might be coming :) Patience is a virtue!

If I log in after visiting the us diablo 3 site I get USD as currency,
If I log in after visiting the EU diablo 3 site I get Euro as currency.
Is 1 euro going for 1 dollar and vice versa? Or are you guys going to add a calculator for it, maybe fix the currency on living area?

To whom it may concern, there are issues with some countries (Macedonia, as an example) and the Load Balance feature. Contact support if you're having trouble using it.

How about some innovation and release just the 1st chapter / level of D3. Ooops. Somebody already thought of that. Or make it a free demo. Ooops again, Blizz already did that for Diablo 2. And Starcraft 1.

Er... Do I notice a pattern here? Anyway, I heard most of the "too innovative" stuff will be cut on release.
Expect an expansion. Diablo 2 and Starcraft 1 already had that.

...And is that Deathwing on the cover of Diablo 3?

Dear Blizzard. We have waited for years now. We love the videoes on youtube about D3. They looks awesome. All over the world, we're waiting for D3's release. I know you just try to do the game perfect. And respect for that. But we are looking forward to D3.
Hope you soon release the game!
