Hello,

Over recent days we have seen the situation regarding latency and lag improve, however we are still monitoring this situation and in order to look into this, we are requesting information from affected players.

We have set up a webform in order to gather this information:
eu.battle.net/support/en/help/ticket/d3/673

Please note that this information request requires a D3Debug.txt file to be attached. This can be found in your Diablo III installation folder.

D3Debug.txt is regenerated at the start of each play session, so please attach it immediately after the play session where you experienced lag. If you’ve restarted the game, the file will be replaced.

Please note these tickets are sent for diagnostic purposes and you may not receive a responsei as per normal tickets.

UPDATE - 27/03: Many thanks for your patience while we investigated the reports of latency. We've been informed by our internet service partners that enhancements have been made to improve the gaming experience of those affected.

We’ll continue to keep a close eye on this thread for any reports of latency but in the meantime, happy demon slaying!

Considering refunding my RoS from the place i bought it because i can't play at all. Ping jumps from 160(Normal) to around 2000, sometimes even 4500. It then proceeds to disconnect me from BNET server. Only on Diablo, i was playing WoW fine and raiding and all that.

Playing at night however, is find with my ping hanging at 200-450.
Completely unplayable tonight. Did the submission thing. Will it be fixed by next week? Not keen to experience ROS for this first time like this. :[
Unplayable at all blizzard really disappointed grrrr 6 days left to the expansion and im really concerned that we get high and unplayable latency that day blizzard im bagging you fix this issue really i just want to play your game and i think that you made this game for us to play and not just for making money in some places

Some feedback for you blizzard about your company :

1. you got nice game's
2. you got nice community
3. you have one of the best customer support that i saw in my life and any other game in this world .

after all this stuff i want to thank Lurdlespor and all other people that are posting stuff for us in the forums and let us know if something going on there if its available for us to know you are doing great job by keeping us updated i mean it !!! :D

so please after all these things and all the complements i really want you to fix that issue and let us play your awesome game again in the last 20min i almost lost my hardcore character 4 times ...

Yeah, uploaded the files and submitted a ticket, please fix before RoS, don't let us down again please blizz.
Hi guys,

Congrat for creating a ticket form for tis latency issues.

For me in S/W Germany peak laggytime is at around 21:15 with lags lasting for several seconds sometimes.

Normal midweek evenings are like that since patch 2.x:
18:00 - 19:30 'normal' ping -> 60-100 ms
20:00 increasing steadily from to 0,5 ... 1 s
21:00 game unplayable, some lags lasting for up to 3-5 secs then. Heavy boss mob means instant death
22:00 ping normalizing again
23:00 game playable again on most occasions. On weekends high ping seems to last longer in the night/morning!

WTF??!

For me it's like wasted money. Ticket created today, I'm really looking forward to the answer on this ...

Miraculous how this just started to happen since patch 2.0.1 and have been screwed ever since.
Damn it blizz stop trying to make us busy and cover up with sending ping reports while you're actually just purchasing more servers and testing them before giving them green light to support the amount of returning players! Just say lag will be fixed in a week it's because people are returning and we need more hardware!

There is my tracert. I'm getting very tired of not being able to properly play the game i've purchased and even have a pre-order for RoS that if this doesn't get fixed. I want a refund for as it is unplayable a lot of the time. I've purchased every Blizzard game, and I want to continue too so please remedy the latency issue many people are having.
At the morning my ping is around 80, in the evening 200-800, nice... Obviously ppl started to come back and play and the crappy servers cant handle it, when RoS hits it will be unplayable...

When I sent a ticket to bliz about my unplayable lag and that my ISP wanted some IP addresses so that they could give them higher priority bliz told me to F off. they just said it was my ISPs job to upgrade my entire account to high priority and that the IP addresses of the games are secret.

So there is that.

After I received a 100% standardized mail in reply to the ticket form I think this might be a very accurate summary of this situation ...

At least we all should hope they'll upgrade their hardware instead of trying to sit out the whole situation until enough buyers of RoS are so frustrated they leave the game again ;)

Seems like it's a Blizzard's problem regarding EU servers...
Hope they fix it soon, because i cannot play properly with this amount of lag...
Same issue here. I have terrible lag spikes since patch. I checked FW and called ISP. All seems fine on my side. Tried some Borderlands without any problem.

With this state of servers i cant play alone or with friends if i dont want to ruin their game. I am jumping from 100ms - 600+ms to 100ms and so on.

I hope this will be fix before RoS...
