As soon as i get first crafted wand i begin to 1shot almost any pack at the beginning with force wave. Same story with every other class. I think this makes walkthrough a bit less interesting and damage should be nerfed, what do you think guys? Also i dont remember weapons so op in previous patches

it takes 45 mins)

Since you spend around 45 minutes getting one, it should be better then any other items that drop. For example when you craft weapons in gothic 2 there were more powerfull then any you could buy at your lvl. The same thing comes with skyrim. I really do not get why you are upset after this. I like the idea, it means I won't have to waste time killing mobs to get a epic item so it is good. Beginnings are always the easiest part of game. When you advance through it should get harder. you dont get the point i think
from the beginning of quest where you need to kill Leoric (its 3 levels of dungeons) you just 1-2 shot ANY pack of enemies. its not like this weapons are better then founded ones, they are OP. Just try to compare running to Leoric from lvl1 with or without blacksmith and watch results |
you dont get the point i think The part of the game where the beta takes place, is a very easy part, have i heard, and i have also heard that it should be harder later in act 1. |

There is no merit in your argument of "too powerful crafted weapons in the starter place".
It takes you longer to get the items crafted than to simply complete the content without, and you can find weapons that are better than the crafted ones. Just because crafted items aren't completely useless doesn't make them too powerful, it just makes them useful. |

I think its fina as it is.
In Diablo 2 it was something like this that the "normal" was annoyingly taking long to get through but when you were on nightmare things became much easier(for Sorcs). Killsspeed increases + teleport. Whenever I started a new Character in Diablo 2 it was just annoying to play on lowest difficulty. If you can get straight to a decent weapon after 30-45 minutes this would be nice. I guess after the skeleton king your relative damage falls off quite a lot. |

it takes you longer to get the items crafted than to simply complete the content without, no it does not, your point is invalid
you complete Leoric at lvl ~9-10. guess what? here comes wand for lvl 12 that is almost twice as powerful as previos one

And how does that apply to the beginning of normal exactly?
I seriously hope you are trolling, because I don't want to think that there are so stupid people, who have been given access to the beta. Crafted items are level restricted and have dropped counter-parts. Seeing as you kill the Skeleton King from level 7 (lowest I was able to kill him with) to ~15 (where you stop getting experience from the area), it all depends on WHEN you kill him. IF you kill him at 7, you get better items than what you can craft for the same level, but if you kill him at level ~15, then, obviously, you can craft items that there are better than what the Skeleton King drops. And since you need to venture into the Cathedrals for getting to level 11+, to begin with, you can't even use the crafted items unless you clear the content first, since you must be really stupid if you grind the same mobs before a boss, instead of just killing him. Also, EVEN IF crafted items, somehow are scaled to be a little better in the beginning than drops, SO WHAT. It makes no difference to the quality game, at all, it only makes crafting a more essential part of the game. The notion that "crafted weapons are too powerful at the beginning" is an oxymoron, it has no meaning. Obviously, the designers decide how the game ends up being, your opinion on the matter is totally irrelevant. "Stop spreading spam and misinformation" - should be my forum signature. |

i got a belt and boots. yea i got much better wand from Leoric lol(maybe i can merge somehow boots and belt into wand, dunno). or you want me to grind him to get this mistical wand that is better than crafted one? no txs
they are not scaled "a little better", they are scaled to the point when i just run with my eyes closed and spam force wave to 1-shot everything that moves. even at normal difficulty its pathetic.
if you think that someones opinion is irrelevant at forums i suggest you just stop posting here, because.. its not relevant |

i totaly agree with poster. Whats the fun of having a weapon relativly fast i think 45 min is fast. and then on shot everything all the way. I find a game with that maganism boring. A game have to be challenging and i think the poster means that with this post. Whats the fun of making a game which takes years of work and then because u give players OP weapons is played in a couple of hours... it is good critics of poster.

You are aware that within 45 minutes of the real game you will probably be long past the content of the beta where mobs are much tougher? If you are not and you managed to craft a strong wand then you will only be one hitting mobs for a shot while because you will soon run into tougher enemies in the areas that are after the beta. By the time you hit nightmare mode your wand will likely be useless and to craft a nightmare grade wand will need hours of grinding for crafting level. By the time you hit hell you will need even more considerable grinding to even craft hell items. At inferno difficulty you will be getting consumed by the demons of hell even if you have inferno crafted items since they will always out level both you and your items.

i dont get it why people cry so much about crafted items... I installed d2 some weeks ago, im in hell act3 and still have some !@#$ items (like half of them) that are for lvl 20-35... that is like end of normal/begining of nm i think... it suck to %^-*ing farm nm so long and get so many random/other class items that you simply sell to vendor when i culd destroy them and use mats to make the item i need...like got so many items that wuld be great on other class/spec but not for what i need...
Crafting is just great!
