I got HD4890 and CPU is i7 920 2.67Ghz, but I can't play on max. Even if I make medium graphics I still get very huge lag on big battles. Everything just slows down..

@Alpina
Don't worry about that, the servers are under high preasure managing both the US. beta testers and the EU. beta testers and because of that we have a high latency and that makes the game lags because the client (the players) have to wait for data from the server.

Mobo: ASUS M2N-E SLI
Proc: Amd Athlon 64 x2 4400+ @ 2,31 GHz (Socket AM2)
GPU: Ati Radeon x1650 Pro Platinum 512 MB DDR2 (Socket PCI-E 1.0)
RAM: 6 GB DDR2 @667 MHz

I got 50+ hours in the beta, FPS count with very low settings: 35 when there's not much happening, 10-15 when all hell breaks loose, overall it's somewhat playable even with my specs.

My question to you guys, should I upgrade my GPU to something like a HD 6790 or a GTX 550 TI, I know they're pci-e 2.1 and 2.0 cards but I'm wondering if the loss of performance caused by the low bandwidth of my pci-e slot is manageable ?

I'm also considering upgrading the CPU to a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ or better.

Keep in mind I live in 3rd world europe and my monthly wager is about 300$ so probably just 100$ per month to spare, this is the main reason why I don't just buy a new rig even though I'm very aware it's the smart choice.

Any thoughts, suggestions, similar experiences are highly appreciated. Thank you.

Without going into the discussion as why an upgrade pack is much smarter, I would point out another argument. Even if you could manage a high end graphic card in there, would your power supply unit even have the muscle to support it?

Hi guys,

Just asking if my internet connection of 1.44mbps down and .33mbps up would suffice =)

by the way i'm from south east asia and I'll be connecting to the NA servers because most of my friends will be connecting there. I don't know how high the latency will shoot though :(
