Here is something that i came up. Do you guys think this will work? Yea, i know it doesn't have increased armor etc. and this might not work in inferno. This build requires very high armor i think. But i can assure you this build has so freaking high DPS that diablo will be cut to pieces in no time.

You have only 1 generator for 3 fury spenders. You should be fury starved often.
This build should be good in Normal.
In Nightmare you will have problems with no gap closer and little mitigation. From Hell onward... you will die. Very very very often.
As long as you are aware of this...

I like the idea of your build and the problem I would have with playing it would be that there isnt enough "to do".

Ignore pain and battle rage are every 30 seconds and Wrath Of The Beserker is every 120 seconds. Revenge can be used a lot but it requires that you are getting hit.

then there is Bash and rend and the problem is mostly your fury because with the lacerate rune rend will do very sick AOE. So if ignore pains duration was longer this build would be pretty good.

I think you should exchange ignore pain or revenge or maybe both with Leap and/or furious charge

Or keep Revenge and exchange Wrath Of The Beserker and Ignore pain with Leap and furious Charge

Yes i have not beta acess. Even if i did, it wouldn´t matter. Normal is normal the rest is a diferent ball game, especially Inferno.
But i did play D/D2, and i do have a brain on top of my shoulders.
Now... please go back to your cave.

Hi Mentat. Nice post. ;)

Btw. The Tough as Nails nerf was really crippeling for the solo inferno barb. More defense from items is now needed..health leech etc. I hope your 2H build will swim. I hope to see some experience posts in the future. I will settle with a high defense shield build.

I understand you might get offended, but you are not the only one starting to talk about how this or that build will not work in nightmare or above - It is nothing personal so there is no need to insinuate that I have a cave to go back to, but people like you talking about the difficulties really have no idea what you are talking about, besides that your "positive criticism" is not positive and it's hardly criticism. You basically say the fury generation is too sparse and that's it. Since you offend me for no reason I might aswell offend you even though I have a reason: You are incompetent, you can't think very well and you are not able to recognize your own or others incompetence. Like a patzer you would not recognize a good move if it was played right in front of you, and every forum pollution you protrude will somehow be free of consequence

I think Mentat can speak for himself/herself but I must ad that Mentat knows the mechanics of the game much better than you if I take your comment as baseline.

I'm sick of people rewinding the "the game is not yet out" phrase and taking a dump on people trying to understand game mechanics and possibilities. You are ignorant to the fact that humans are able to predict actions and processes. We can aproximate answer from limited informations and give assumptions about future events.

Without vastely increased defense you will stand no chance hell/inferno. The devs already told us this bit of info. Calculatuons with armor and skills show that ~90% damage reduction is possible without loosing all damage. If you run around with only 65% damage reduction you will get about 3.5 times the damage as a defense typ. This will most likely overpower your healthpool and healing ability.

You are free to try anyway but do not tell other people everybody thinking this way has no idea what they are talking about.

I will not make this a personal matter, regardless of your banter and misconceptions about the game or my post.
I am, deducing from your posts, a lot more aware of what this game requires gearwise and buildwise.
I will however, be more than glad to provide the OP for a more detailed and comprehensive explanation about my reply. If he so desires.

I strongly recommend, however, that you read a few topics in this forum about later difficulties. Especially those provided by the game developers. You will learn a great deal, and then, perhaps, start to truly understand what this game requires.

Yeah... i was thinking about the same thing myself. Also was wondering if i should change Bash+stun for Cleave+Increased Fury. I would really like to see an official thread about the diminishing returns of cc in late game.
As for the gear...well... i won´t set foot in Inferno before lvl60 and a juicy 2hander.
I really don´t want to use a shield. Never have in the franchise. Never will.
I guess the nerf is nothing that a bit of build tweaking +farming won´t handle.

It looks like a fun build. I like you choose 3 offensive passives, its bold.

Imo just play whatever suits you. If you find certain bosses difficult during levelling then you can always go back a bit and get some more lvls on easier mobs.

Once you hit inferno you will have hit the levelcap of 60. Then the true test of your build begins. By that time you will probably have already made minor adjustments, like everyone else.
