I want understand why is pvp so important to pve focused game? And tell me at which point I was whining about something? |

Diablo 3 isn't made to be an eSport game, therefore they set PvP in the background, to be added in a future patch. If you want to PvP, there's a whole lot of other games for that.
D3 (in my eyes at least) is supposed to be a game that you will finish on one toon in a few months, then quit. Or re-roll. Or play with your friends. And hunt achievements.

Well I only found only one diablo 3 PvP-related poll. Here it is.
http://www.diablofans.com/topic/38007-pvp-features/page__st__20
The number of votes isn't very large and the last question is a bit biased. Nevertheless this supports the statement that the majority of players are interested in Diablo 3 enjoy PvP. Only 4 people from of over 150 did not care for PvP. That is even less then I would expect. The margin of error in this poll is around 7% with a confidence interval of 95% if we assume that the diablo 3 gaming community size is around 10 000 000. So yes, Diablo 3 would benefit from more PvP as the topic starter has stated. Yes, i've read those posts and watched the videos, but Blizzard has changed it's mind about many things in the past. So it might change it's mind now. Actually if we assume that the marketing department of blizzard is as professional as their development team we can expect them of thinking about good strategies of making money. Here is how I would do it if I cared about more money. First release a polished PvE friendly game with no PvP in it and attract all PvE fans (including those few who are "scared of PvP"). Then when those players reach high lvls, start beating inferno and possibly getting bored of the game, they introduce a PvP patch and attract hardcore PvP fans who did not yet buy the game cause they wanted PvP. Since you can't "unbuy" the game, the PvE people will have to "deal with it". The PvE won't become any worse though. Finally, they can introduce competitive ladder into PvP making legendary epic e.t.c. items VERY usefull and thus very expensive on the RMAH to earn more profit. I don't see how Blizzard can make any more profit: it will have the PvE and the PvP fans buy the game and maximize their profits from RMAH. Now about the things we can expect from PvP, are probably things that are easy to introduce. Here are my predictions. We will probably see 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3 and 4vs4 non-ladder, lvl-matched arenas. Possibly with randomly generated arenas. Later we will probably see 1vs1 and 2vs2 duels on mutual agreement in the open world. Non-official ladders will come to existance (like starladder for DotA2) with commentators e.t.c. Later we will probably see 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3 and 4vs4 official ladder arenas for lvl 60 players. Kinda like starcraft. This will increase the money-flow from RMAH greatly. Maybe with the expansion set (for more money!) they will add new PvP mods such as capture the flag and last-man standing. Probably they will add some PvE arenas with the expansions as well (for example, survival arenas). There will be some PvP balancing for obvious reasons, but not so much because there are so many different possible builds and gameplay changed even when you go from 1vs1 pvp to 2vs 2 pvp. Probably certain skills will work differently in PvE and PvP.

Wow
Some people still cry about the fact they will have to battle geared and leveled opponents instead of pk'ing lowbies? |
I myself was very involved in the PvP community in D2 and I can tell you for a fact that it was no where near 60%. I'd say it was somewhere around 5-10% of the entire community.

What actually bothers me is that they said there wouldn't be any kind of reward (aside from cosmetic stuff) for playing PvP. I'd like to have some PvP gear, or something! You know... We're still not sure what kind of cosmetic stuff are we talking about so I could be totally wrong, and PvP would be worth it, but still.
Also you people talk about balance ruining the game. Well sometimes you don't have to change the classes and their skills. Just let PvP be it's thing. And if there's some obvious imbalance, just give weaker classes a buff upon entering a PvP arena, if it's matched up against a stronger one. That's it, problem solved, everyone's happy. I really would like to see the game a little more competitive, like Starcraft 2. But that's just my opinion... |

Do not worry PvPers Blizzard want money. And PvP = more income. In time they will worry more and more with PvP to keep their game on top. Let's enjoy the awesome pve in the meantime...

Well I watched some video about from blizzcon 2011, I think it was, well they said that when u play enough PvP, you get more parts for your banner. Well I cant remember which part it was. You get parts for you banner by playing PvP, getting achievements on softcore and getting archievements on hardcore.

What does this even mean? Just because this is a "pve focused game" the pvp should suck? What i want to understand is why do you care about pvp if you dont care about it.
If you havent noticed this is his opinion. I agree with him. Im even gonna raise that number up to 80%. Im only taking inferno players into consideration.

Yeah banners isn't exactly what I expected... But hey there's still time, maybe they add some more fun rewards to show off and play around with. :)

That poll is completely irrelevant for a number of reasons: 1. Small selective sample (the people that participate in online communities are much more likely to be interesting in PvP than those that don't). 3. Hugely biased/leading question/answers. 4. Just because someone would like to see game modes added doesn't mean they actually want to play them.

Instead of calling people out you should explain what you want Blizzard to do with the PvP in Diablo. |
And may i ask where you got these numbers from ? If the pvp comunity of Diablo 3 will be as high as you said/belive it is , there will be more love shown towards PvP events. Until then, just leave Diablo to be Diablo not WoW. Please |
I already did. I want PvP to be good end game system that will keep me playing for a long time.
If you learn to use your brain you would notice that this is his opinion.
