Diablo® III

In the Monk's short story:

"The trees around him swayed and extended their boughs, creaking and groaning like giants awakening after eons of slumber. Motion flickered in the dim firelight all across the camp as numerous roots slithered up from the dirt and began blindly lashing out toward Zhota and the refugees."

and

"Yet with the pine's destruction, Zhota did not perceive that the demon within it had died. Rather, it seemed that the unholy presence had merely diminished in power. He opened his mind to the trees encircling the camp. They were all tainted, but they were only puppets being controlled by a single entity.

His eyes settled on the ancient oak, which had remained still and lifeless. Within its weathered trunk, he could suddenly feel the demon spreading its influence into the surrounding forest."

I WANT THIS RANDOM QUEST. Imagine a bunch of trees with an ancient oak in the middle. When you come near, the quest activates and they all come alive. (we already have this type of enemy). When you kill them all and beat the hell out of the ancient oak you get your reward. This is a MUST for a random event/quest in a proper area in act 1. :)

Sounds great actually, hope it's in there :D

But there is nothing in the short story connecting between the monk to our character even. And if he is the same one, it still takes place before he travels to Sanctuary.

There will be walking trees, but I doubt that there will be this random quest (although it would be cool).

It's in the game, me and two of my friends found a clearing with a huge tree with a chest at its base, when we get near about five or six trees started attacking us and the central tree became a mini boss type. Got a load of good loot from it, can't remember where exactley where it is, but its in act 1 where the walking trees are.

Its called secluded grove or something like that

Epic! Haven't found it yet. Where was it? Fields of Misery?

Think its in misery fields, but I imagine its one of the random quests like jar of souls is. So you may have looked all over the misery fields looking for the clearing, but it won't be there because it just isn't there in your game this time around.
