Diablo® III

Hello,

Im getting a little bit desparate. Im trying to get past Izual in act 4 normal, but he seems to be like unkillable for me. I play a barbarian. Everytime I try to do some dmg to him he soon after starts casting those freezing thingy so I have to move out of the melee range to not get frozen. However as i move out, i get almost oneshotted. While running away from him, he seems to just leap on me and finish me off. I can heal myself once, but then he summons adds and its simply over also.

Can any1 pls give me any tips? Ty

I've been running co-op as a Wizard and mate running Baba. He found on the izual quest that the kill was very difficult.

i think it may just be a case of kiting him and wearing him down slowly for the time being. if it is found that the quest is too difficult for melee classes then the boss will get balanced.

however having said all this you posted 2 hours ago so are likely in nightmare.

Thanks, I managed to get him down, but as you said, its very difficult. I just kept Bashing to get some rage and WW and Leap away, kite a bit to get the health from the Templar up and all over again. It took a while.

I dont know why you found this hard , i defeated him in 10-15 seconds , received an achivement too for fast killing him . I have blue items , no socket or something special .

15s?? what was your dps??

I dont know , just tried to have the most dexterity posible from items during gameplay , i had 590-600 , and my fire ally did a lot of dmg .
After that fight it took 30-40 minutes more i defeated diablo and passed to next level of dificulty .
Forge you items with the desired options , thats how i did , need a lot of materials but you wil get them . And choose the better option for your class .

I am the so called extremely casual player, and obvioulsy I dont get much into the deep of all them stats and so on, yet. Thats why I most likely struggled getting him down and why I asked here for any tips for which im thankful :-)

I'm having quite the difficulty with him as well. Wizard with 300 dps and can't get him dead. I get him near dead then he will stun me a few times in a row and I'll die. -_-

Finally did it with this setup! I would run around and teleport away/stun him when he go close. Once he got to about 6k health I would use Archon and spam 1 as much as possible. Kills that last ~6k health pretty quickly. Was the easiest way I could think of not getting stopped and such.

Clobber is your friend as a barbarian against bosses.

I killed it, kiting it to the hell.

As a WD, Grasp of the dead ,Acid Cloud and Enraged Gargantum are your friends. Slow down with grasp, then Acid cloud Izual and his minions - rinse repeat till dead.

I found it ridiculusely easy on my barba, was lvl 30 at the time, even got the achievement.

In order to finish off Isual & his kind (evil, nasty, hard big boys), when you play with the barb it is advisable to use earthquake and to keep him in one spot. It does tremendous damage, I finished him off pretty fast in normal, but he was a f@”!ing pain in Nightmare mode ...

Tried acouple times in NM mode, and got my !@# handed to me the first 3 times. Then I switched to Warcry+ invigor, and used the ancients. I had 20.000 hp at the time with the wc-buff.

The trick is to get the adds down, and I also used reples-heal-pots. 6500.

I got them down, and the funniest thing happened...I ran around the middle "hole" in the ground, while mr. scoundrel killed him...

Just popped WC to get the heal over time, used pots, and sent the ancients in when they were of cd.

Yup, kiting is the way to go. Use your pets / summons / tyreal to kill the adds and slow down the boss while running away waiting for cooldowns on your skills.

How can you kite something that teleports and one shots you?
