Diablo® III

So here is the deal, my battle.net account says that my Diablo 3 is a "Standard Edition", which should be just a normal diablo 3 game, like everyone's else.
But when logging in, it says that i only have the "STARter edition", which is the "Guest pass" edition.
That means that max level is 13 and you can only play to the skeleton king (act 1).

So my account is a full diablo 3 account which that should have as much acces as a normal diablo 3 account, but in-game it says that my account is a starter edition. Looks like blizzard really f**** this one up.

Did you get it free from Wow year pass? If so its a problem lots of people are having.

Yes I got my Diablo 3 from wow annual pass.

let me know if you get it working and how. I used a guest pass from my husbands d3 game to see if I wanted to play and now I am having the same problem. LITTLE frustrating after driving 20 minutes to buy the game

Hi. My friend just gave me a guest key. I added the guest key into my account. But when I logged to my account, it says but my diablo 3 cd key that I just attached is not licensed? Anyone can solve this problem?

I'm having a same problem, i've played my Wizard to lvl 30 for now, but today i'm logging in it's said my Diablo III is Starter Edition. Could you show me how to solve this problem?

a friend of mine is also having this problem. We were a few quests in on act 2 and now it says he has starter. what do we need to do to fix this. Tried resetting password but no go.

Then try changing your e-mail address then change it back.

this also happened to me, bought the digital copy. after playing for hours, after drowned temple. there's an error regarding data changes then I got disconnected. I log in again and my character is gone and the game was switch to starter edition and at the top right corner asking me to upgrade. please help, the password thing didn't fix it. I checked my battlenet account and the transaction history was gone, it only shows diablo 3 starter edition and purchase diablo 3 option. checked the transaction history, and boom! no proof on the site that i bought the digital copy. why is this? i'm loving this game, just dissapointed that this happened.

Why does it seem like this game is more trouble than it's worth? As soon as you get over one problem you are confronted with another. Definitely just going to play WoW if my experience with this game keeps persisting as a negative one.....

Same issue right here right now... A friend bought his version online but installed the game with my box version. Anyway, shouldn't be causing any troubles as we've been playing for a few hours and he logged in with his account which he used to buy the full game...
After a restart, now it says he has starter edition, no trace of his order on his account (though he has the mail with the order and all) and no way to play his character cos more than lvl 13.... wtf is going on ?!?!?

Any update on that issue ?

This just happened to me too, I was playing yesterday and everything was fine but today when i started it up it said I only had the starter edition. It said the same thing on my battle.net account and the only option is to upgrade to a full version by buying it. I have an email confirming my transaction and showing that i did indeed pay for the game.

Same thing.. I got a second Email from Blizzard stating "This notice is being sent to inform you that we were unable to successfully complete your recent purchase on the Blizzard Store. The charge for that item on your order was not finalized."

I believed it the first time and I brought the digital copy again as i didnt check my bank account.
Now my bank account is $120 down... And it says I have the Starter Edition..

This is a joke.
