Gratz on finding this!
I don't get why the people are hating on the secret level... did they want another secret cow level? lol.

ok I've been doing this all morning and i still haven't found any of the reagents except for the bell.

Where exactly do you find each of the ingredients? Do you need to be on a special quest to be able to find them?

please help

Stupid question, but I have never seen a recipe drop. Is there a point in the game/blacksmith level you need before you can get this drop? I must have killed Izual 20 times by now. Am I just unlucky or something?

"Resetting" an event is as easy as exit game to character screen then log in again (unless you're playing coop, then don't join whoever you were playing with ofc.)

I am gathering the items now and though it might be nice to give a pick of the 2nd item the shinbone. Here is where u find it, just like the mushrooms it will be a clickable loosetile like object.

Ahhhh, this is too amazing. It's so much fun to laugh at the whiny kids sitting behind their computers crying and using their tears as lube over this whole thing. Some peoples' inability to take a joke makes me warm and fuzzy inside

On another note, thanks so much for this find :)

That's hilarious. Already have the Black Mushroom and the Shinbone. Im in the beiging of act 2 and still far from having enough money for Wirts Bell, I just wanted to know if will I be able to go back and buy it after I finish the act (or the game on normal) or have enough money?

People who are whining about not being diablo style. This is the revenge of the programmers to the people who said diablo 3 was too colorfull (and I find it very funny to be given the chance to slaughter my little pony bull!@#$)

I've gotta agree with the folks slating this. Of all the potentially awesome secret levels they could've come up with by using their collective creativity and skill the end result is this... Considering that the majority of people who buy and play D3 have no clue about the whole artwork incident this is a fail.

The cow level is funny because it is actually funny. This is... not and just seeing a screenshot of this horror the whole mystery and desire to build the staff and see where it takes you gets vapourised and you're left burdened with the knowledge that the super awesome secret level you were looking forward to is utter crap.

Something else worth pointing out is that instead of adding further game content for the actual story, like more critters to bash or stuff to loot or areas to explore or story to follow or stability to not suffer dodgy launch errors, they spent all that valuable time making this secret level... really? Really?

Ok...that ...is too friggin hilarious

once you spend the mats to buy the staff of herding (normal), you only need to get the nightmare recipe + 200k gold to upgrade it, then hell recipe + 500k for hell, then inferno recipe + 1mil gold for inferno staff.

you don't need to find the other mats more than once, and the recipes all drop from izual in their respective difficulties. each upgrade lets you use the staff in that difficulty with higher level ponies and stuff.

"Blizzard Art Team, ASSEMBLE!"

"What is it, boss?"

"We need this launch to go off without a hitch to appease the tens of neckbeard super-fans that troll our forums and can't take a joke."

"Well, obviously. Those are our core players. The ones that will never be happy no matter what we do. Ever."

"Exactly. That's why we're putting you guys on coding detail."

"Sir... I... I don't know how to --"

"SHUT UP JENKINS. From now on until launch, you will be MAKING SURE THE SERVERS CAN HANDLE THE INFLUX OF PLAYERS ON OUR SERVERS."

"But I dont even know where to start with that...."

"BUT YOU WORK IN COMPUTER GAMES. OBVIOUSLY YOU KNOW HOW TO DO EVERYTHING RELATED TO THEM. STOP COMPLAINING AND GET TO WORK ON SOMETHING COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR SKILL SET OR KNOWLEDGE BASE."

I really hope you never work in game development.

Anyone who doesn't find this hilarious is taking this game way too seriously. Come on people, it's a game for crying out loud! If you're going to get this bent out of shape because an easter egg in the game doesnt meet your expectations, then you'll be in for a rude awakening when real life starts.

Anyways, this is great, thanks for posting.

People take this WAY to seriously, arguing over whether the secret level is lame or not. If you like it play it, if you don't like it don't play it, simple as that. I personally think it's neat that the developers add in secret levels based on player comments and will likely play it. I also agree that if you don't actually own Diablo 3 then you probably shouldn't comment, it just shows you waste your time on forums for games you don't even play and I can't take you seriously.

Can Chilltara spawn in both Caverns of frost level 1 and 2?

Edit: Found it in level 2, so i assume it only spawns there.

That's the point... If you followed the news and such of D3 you'd know that quite a lot of the "community" complained about the bright colors and rainbows (all of which add more realism to the game) when screenshots and such from beta were released. So, just like with D2's dev team making a joke with the secret cow level, D3's made a joke with Whimsy.

Either that or you never played D2 either and you're one of those WoW-Diablo players so you totally don't get it.

Arhhhh.. spare me for your BS, putting me in a group of players just because i once played wow, has nothing to do with my question. i did play d2, not that much, but that is irrelevant.. i know about the cow thing in d2, i still finds this kinda lame tbh.

You thought " WoW-Diablo player" was a harsh generalisation?

How about this: Moronic, pathetic, loser who is so sad, uneducated and probably lonely that they spend their free time making poorly written posts !@#$%ing and moaning about an easter egg they don't have to access in a game they don't have to play.

I think that more accurately describes a dickhead of your calibre.

I'm sure it's all a one time use.. But do you need to craft the staff each time you want to run the cow level?

Having to run the last boss 20+ times for 1 run through Whimsey seems a bit rough.
