So for the legendary, untill its extremely rare to get one, why not doing a big sound like "TADA" something like that, so maybe you will take care of what happend.

I hope the color of text wont be only upgrade if its going about gems, and to be honest during 150 hours of game I never had problem to spot out flawless gems in pail of items. And comparing gems from d3 to runes, jewels and skulls from D2 they are kind a retarded don't you think?

I personally don't mind sticking to the brown color of legendaries, but the screenshot shows how difficult it can be to distinguish a legendary item from the scenery, which is odd - legendaries, as the rarest type of drops, are the only item class ingame that use a earthish, natural color like that. Every other type of drop uses a color/contrast combination that really lifts it into the foreground visually. Even white drops can be seen easily in snow because of the dark tooltip. In a game where we consistently heard about readability during the development when it came to seeing what is happening on screen, it seems very far from that design goal. If the color of legendaries won't change, maybe a more prominent sound effect could be implement for that type of drop, or not? |

I would welcome a light blue text for gems but to be honest: I have stopped picking up gems a while ago (playing HC only) as I see no value in collecting them.
Personally I am hoping for the following changes: > Put a level cap on gems. I find it really puzzling why all ranks of gems have no level cap. Level 15-ish character who can use Inferno-type of gems in their gear are pretty much unchallenged for a long time. > Add more variation and bring back the initial planned gem system (Skulls, Diamonds or Sapphires) > When I heard Covetous Shen mentioning more exotic gems for the first time I was really expecting a wider range of gem types, perhaps a mix of different ones to create a new type. So why not doing so?

Do not change the color of legendary items.

+1 to this, sometimes you just run through lots of normal monsters, but even they have a chance of dropping a legendary, you can easily miss it if you're killing them too fast, like i did in act 3. Was just destroying everything on my way until i encountered an elite pack which managed to kill me,when coming back to the place to kill the elites i found a legendary i missed on my first run. |

Why not just remove worthless white and grey items? In D3, while kiting mobs they just get in the way. Same with pot, bone piles, barrels, and other breakables. at lest when those drop stuff it was o.k. to be in the way, now they are just a chance of death (not a bad as death from rubberbanding 2x an hour). At least in D2 white items could vendor for 1000s of gold

Speaking of color coding, I've also spotted a few oddities while playing.
Unique Monsters: Give them a purple aura, not a yellow one. I've had quite a few false alarms when spotting one only to realize that it's just a weak Unique and not a Rare pack. Boss Monsters: I'd give these a gold name just like on the Fallen Heroes information panel. Set Items and Journals: Why are journals green like set items instead of white or something? And why do set items have the same glow color and BG color as legendaries if they are a different/higher tier? Meanwhile, they appear as fully green in the game guide. Don't know what went wrong here! xP And as for Legendaries, I think that they were originally going to be purple but they scrapped that for some reason. For gems, potions, tomes and journals you could give them a bold font instead of giving them a new color. I'd personally reserve colors as quality/tier indicators but that's just me. And I can find them easily anyway. If I need potions, tomes or w/e, I can spot them because I don't immediately brush off all white items as trash. I would welcome a light blue text for gems but to be honest: I have stopped picking up gems a while ago (playing HC only) as I see no value in collecting them. I was thinking about that actually. I wanted to see a more crafty use for gems. Like maybe have more types of gems, runes etc. for adding elements and properties instead of just raw stats with marginal differences between levels. That's boring as hell. And you could also use them in crafting as infusions to give a higher chance to get a specific stat on the gear.

what about the jeveler foliants? (dunno if it's the right name in english) you know, the plans for jeweler ^^ whould be cool if you whould also give them a yellow colour (or orange?) since they are rare as fu.ck. |

For Legendary drops they should flash 'Aren't You Thankful !?' on the screen in big Gold letters, and every time you id a rare they should play a Homer Simpson 'Doh' sound effect. |

Hello everyone, After a certain amount of play, gems are just another piece of junk item to be honest, they get left on the floor with all the rest of the white items purposely. Making them stand out by colouring their font differently could quickly become annoying. EDIT: Same goes for pots, pages and tomes.

If D3's interface was written in Lua and allowed for mods it would have fostered a development community around it to improve the game and remove some peoples complaints. Maybe the expansion or D4?
Why not allow the player to customize the color of items in the config? |

How about adding a Music when a legendary item drops? Like 10 15secs long music / sound so we cant miss them. Thanks |

I still don't see why there is no configurable auto pickup system in place. All these things can be solved if I can automatically pickup gems, rare and legendary items. Since there already is a system in place to pickup gold it should not be hard to extend this with a few options.
I believe everyone picks up rare and legendary anyway and leaves the inferior, normal and superior items. I don't even understand why the latter items are dropping as they are completely worthless in my opinion. For magic items it would be nice to be able to have more configuration options, but I can understand that that would be too much to ask for now. |

hey i have a better idea. make everything ppl actually pick up one color and make all the useless non-magical, non-commodity, non-potion items a different color. lol

On the thing to see items on the ground easier please make arcane orbs and ice balls stand of top of everything so they can always be seen!
