@Thaya, I've searched for some weapons (AH) just now and it seems that maximum IAS you can find on magical+ items is 11%, so this should be changed for sure:
Weapons can have up to 25% IAS.

IAS can be found on:
- Weapons, up to 11%;
- Amulets, up to 9%;
- Gloves, up to 9%;
- Rings, up to 9%.

So that gives us 38%.

I've been looking for some other IAS special items and I think it's worth mentioning:
Tal Rasha's Guardianship (Set Chest): 5-6%
Andariel's Visage (Legendary Helm): 5-6%
Mempo of Twilight (Legendary Helm): 5-6%
Inna's Glory (Set Pants): 5-6%
Zunimassa's Journey (Set Boots): 5-6%

Using those items can result in total of 62% IAS :)

Hi,

I have got a really nice defensive shield but with no crit at all. Should I look for a shield with crit but lower overall stats when my crit % is around 25%? Lets say a 20-24% block with 8% crit.

You say at least 20% crit to aim for but more is better right?

Stats of the shield:
block 29%
amount 3.7k - 4.7k
armor 1300
dex 70
all res 60
res 45
reduced melee 4%

overall stats:
25% crit
920 all res
7500 armor
23k dps

Since you say that Cyclone is ridiculously good, is it something likely to be nerfed as IAS was? Im currently working on farming atleast 25 mio gold in order to buy a weapon i hopefully wont have to replace. But i cant afford to rebuy all my equipment again, if this crit thing is nerfed just as IAS has been :( Before i was pretty much only missing the weapon to have decent enough gear to complete inferno i expect. Feel like iw asted so many money now, on something not really that good anymore.

I guess what i wanna know is just if you think its so good that it too will be nerfed.

And thank you for this awesome guide, and another thanx for updating it. Been checking it often and following it alot :D

How much loh would you say is appropriate for sword and board? I ran 1300ish with shield and was very fine defensively although my damage took a severe hit from the nerf to ias.

Now I am trying out DW and sporting about the same and taking down mobs a lot faster but cannot stand in molten/plague which I could earlier (this being in act 3).

I'm very keen on this new crit build and was wondering what kind of values of aps, loh, crit damage I should opt for. Just bought a neck with good stats along with 650 loh, but unless I DW I probably wont be able to get it much higher without sacrificing ias and resistances. Seems like crit% is where the money is at now but ias is still worth my while I take it since it gives me more loh and more cyclone procs. A few pointers in values would be immense.

Thanks

Why cyclone? Only activates when you hit crit and only if you managed to stack the wind.
Blade storm give 15% additionally, and cyclone 20%. But only if you manage to crit hit.

As people have cleared the game with as little as 600 LoH before I see no reason to have 1.2k LoH after an overall nerf to incoming damage. Besides, shields have been better in offhand than another LoH weapon before, why would that change? 2 weapons with 600 LoH and decent DPS will cost you a lot as well.

That doesn't mean that more LoH isn't useful when you are losing mitigation. 2 1H also gives you two sockets for more LoH or crit dmg.

Read the first two posts, they got change - the build now is based around Crit.

Congrats on making it into the currently exclusive sticky as well.

With the nerf to monster damage in Inferno I hardly find resolve a necessity anymore. With defensive stats, transcendence becomes way better, especially considering the fact Resolve doesn't work on things that get you killed (molten, vortex etc) and literally dozens of situations where it does nothing for you. I know under most circumstances, eHP calcs resolve to be superior to both OWE and STI, but the fact of the matter is that it's easily the weakest of the three.

What is the best follower for monk? I think now it may be Scoundrel (Gives constant 3% crit)?
Or maybe its better to go alone?

Thanks Thaya, been waiting for your input on the latest patch as I just finished hell and need to get geared for inferno. Gratz on the sticky!

Running Dual Wield is still very viable if you can take the defensive hit, giving you almost double your normal LoH (due to the ability of having 2 very high LoH Weapons) as well as an 15% unnerfed IAS. I found this choice to be much cheaper as if you really can't fund it, as a crit/resist/dex/vit with high block shield are insanely expensive.

On the Cyclone build, is IAS necessary? Because the items that have both IAS and Crit are insanely expensive.

Wondering if buying Crit gear without IAS is actually worthwhile here.

Thanks a lot for the guide! I've been using it since the first version and it has been really helpfull :)

I do have a question about dual wielding (sorry if this has been asked before):
- How does the specific attack speed for a weapon (fist 1.4, spear 1.2) affect your total attackspeed when dual wielding? I was first using two fists (with NO IAS) and my total attackspeed was 1.78 (with some IAS items). However when i changed one of my fists to a spear (also no IAS) I expected my AS to drop, but it is still the same. Is there a set AS for dual wielding or is it based on your fastest weapon? (i.e. would my attackspeed drop if I used two spears instead of a fist and a spear?) I would test it ingame but I can't login since my gaming PC crashed and this PC can't handle diablo ;(
