plus another, make the pay to win auction house an opt in, and run the opt ins online to stop hackers. let the rest of us play the game we've paid for.
blizzard reputation = sliding day by day down the drain. i have tried to log in 5-6 times since launch with not 1 time successful on any region. (when i say tried to log in i mean ive spent 5-6 SESSIONS trying to log in!)

You do realise that this is no more than a cry in the dark?
The chances of them changing this now have got to be virtually nil. I would assume, that the entire game is built around feeding the client data in order to build the maps etc on demand. It wouldn't surprise me that loot drops, mobs and all aspects of the game that don't depend on static assets are generated on the servers.
My own experience of lag would seem to indicate that a considerable amount of information about state is being shared with the server. Either that or the programming totally sucks.
No, at this point it seems to me that it's a case of put up or wait another 10 years.
Speaking for myself, I am more annoyed at the "pre-order it and be ready to play the moment the servers go online" pitch they gave prior to launch. That, to me, is the real con.
