Waiting for 1.0.3 to start making a real guide, in the meantime here's a few tips :
- Stats priority : LoH, Crit chance, Attack Speed, Resist all, Armor, Vitality, Crit Damage, Strength.
Though you can stop getting more crit chance once you are getting enough Fury.
- To get started, use War Cry -> Battle Rage -> Leap (hit something or it won't generate fury) -> Sprint. Run around and spawn a few tornadoes, let your fury build up (should take a second vs packs). Use WotB if needed. Then you can start using WW.
- Bind a key to Move in the options, to avoid WW going off when you try to just move. Recommanded : spacebar.
- You should use Sprint again as soon as it's over, even if you are spinning (WW). Most of the fury come from it, you'll starve in a second if you stop spawning tornadoes. Make sure Battle Rage is always on too, or you'll stop gaining fury altogether.
- I'm using a Mace/Axe for the Crit Chance, but if you want to generate fury more easily (and do a bit less damage), use a Mighty Weapon. The +3fury/hit from Weapons Master work with Sprint, you'll get insane amount of fury. PS : Weapons Master ignore your offhand.
- If you encounter hard hitting monsters or elites with good affixes, only stay in the middle when you have the Leap bonus (Iron Impact) on. Then kite for 5s with the tornadoes, and leap in again. The defense bonus is huge, you'll tank without problem.
- Regarding keeping Wrath of the Berserker up forever : The duration won't go up if you generate fury when already full. When you hit max fury, try spending as much as you can (recast Battle Rage, cast Sprint several times) if you can.

UPDATE 11 : Sprint's tornadoes only use the mainhand's damage and attack speed. Better focus on getting LoH, Strength, Crit Damage and/or Vitality on the offhand, which all actually boost the tornado (or you, in the case of vitality).
Getting a mainhand with an attack speed boost is a great plus for healing and fury generation.
UPDATE 10 : I recorded a full Act 3 run on my farming route (5 stacks -> Siege Breaker -> Cydea -> Azmodan)! About 45 mins.

EDIT : Forgot to mention I switched WW to the Hurricane rune! (4-5 tornadoes per Sprint instead of 2-3)
UPDATE 9 : Turns out having movement speed bonus on boots is important! Get some if you do this build.
With WotB off and 9% ms bonus on my boots, if I use Sprint while spinning (WW), I spawn 3 tornadoes. If I remove the boots, I only spawn 2!
Also, I did some test on a ~15 monsters groups, and according to the healing numbers pop-ups, I can heal at least (limited by my life, stop raising when I'm full) :
~22 000 HP/second just from the tornadoes, while kitting.
~48 000 HP/second when spinning in the middle of the pack with WW (and tornadoes)

Feels like using Sprint again just before it ends make the new tornadoes appear a bit sooner, not 100% sure though. Try to do that when you can.

Ignore Pain replaced by Leap with Iron Hide rune.
- It's available way more often (4s every 10 vs 7s every 30)
- Gives a faster escape mechanism when needed
- Fix the initial fury generation issue
- Defense boost is almost the same, with my current armor anyway (Incoming damage divided by 2.36 vs 3)
The build works even better and is easier, great change.

Basically, you can use Sprint (and every spell in the build btw) without stopping Whirlwind. The tornadoes from the Sprint rune generate enough fury to keep Whirlwind on as long as there's enemies, thanks to Battle Rage rune.
Each enemy is hit like 8 times per second so the Life per Hit stat heals like crazy.
The DPS is pretty good imo.
You can use Ignore Pain while spinning if your life gets too low, and keep Wrath of the Berserker up for as long as you are fighting, so no CC problem. Blood Funnel on Whirlwind helps too.
Taking on a Vortex+Waller+Vampirism+Teleporter and a Plagued+Jailer+Desecrator+Fire Chains double pack (at 0:40) without dying, so it's definitely way better than my previous build. xD
Butcher under 2 minutes too, seems nice with my poor weapon.

I was looking for a way to use WW without much success so far (bloodfunnel is a joke).
Have you tried act 2 yet? This looks very promising. I'm actually impressed.

Looks interesting, I'd like to give it a go. I mainly work with one or two friends (Demon Hunter and Wizard), so how does this work with the increased mob difficulty? What sort of stat priorities do you use also? And one last thing, is unforgiving really the best choice? I find it rather lacking in most other situations
You must have a lot of increased attack speed and CH chance gear for that, but it looks very cool.
So, how many attacks per second do you have? Assuming WW works like I think it does (I tested the damage today I mean yesterday, it does 1/3 of 110% weapon damage per hit), it should hit 3 times per second with a 1 attack per second weapon. The higher the aps the more hits you get, but it eats a lot more Fury than normal.
For how long can you keep Wrath of the Berserker running? Withs mobs all around you its almost enless right?
Yeah, earlier I actually had the cooldown back and it was still active! Tried casting it a second time, doesn't stack, too bad. :P
Thanks! I have huge crit chance (46%, 60% when buffed) but not so high attack speed (1.58 attack/s). When there's more than 4 enemies, my fury doesn't even move from 100 though, so I could probably get more. :)
Yeah, that's the hardest part. I actually switched out the passive Rage generation now. To get it started I actually get hit once or twice, which is enough to cast Battle Rage and Sprint (thanks to the 30 bonus from War Cry). That single Sprint often get me to 100 almost instantly, and I don't go back down to 0 for a long time.

I try to get a lot of Life on Hit on the weapon and amulet, Crit chance/damage on everything I can, Vitality, Strength and All Resistance. Apart from amulet,ring,weapon, every single piece of my gear gives Vitality and All Resistance.

I bought a lot of new gear, including a +700 Life on hit weapon (got 1000 total) and the regen is INSANE! I get 10 000 HP heal ticks (that's twice a second I think ?) when I'm not even using Ignore Pain. Actually, I switched Ignore Pain to +duration rune instead of Life Leech.
Also switched Unforgiving for Tough as Nails as said above, which help a lot, and got a bit more to All Resistance.
Now, I can solo Act 2 nicely. Some packs are hards, but for others I can actually take on 2 packs at once !
I'll probably make an A2 video tomorrow. :)

I have around 26% crit from items, +15% from passives, +3% from Battle Rage, and + 10% from Wrath of the Berserker when it's on (total 60%, dunno where the missing 6% are coming from :p).
At the time of the video I had only 350 total life on hit, 750 Strength, 750 vitality (4000 armor and 300-400 all resistance tough), works fine for A1 but it's not enough for act 2.
Right now I have 1000 life on hit, 850 Strength, 1050 Vitality, 5000 armor and 450-550 all resistance, doing fine at the beginning of Act 2.
Yeah, since you gotta crit to generate fury, it's not the kind of build you can try without specifically gearing for it, unfortunately.

Hahaha, I tought about that kind of build but couldn't actually test it due to lack of gear (and the fact that I'm not in Inferno yet).

Only problem I see...is that it might be a bit expensive at the AH to get some really nice upgrades for the build. Well, it'll be fun farming at least.
Also, i don't really like the lack of any fury generator which force you to go take a few hits at the beginning of a fight. The problem is that the slot is taken by Ignore Pain. But since you seem to only use it when you're low on life, I'm thinking there might be an alternative : Relentless (passive). Which then gives :

WoB is endless while you are WW on the enemies, also renew your frenzy with 1 hit every 5 sec and continue WWing with revenge boom boom.
Good synergy revenge+crite WW+heal and Frenzy+dmg.

You seem to be taking a lot of damage (which i guess is due to the lack of defensive stats/runes). Also, this spec does not seem suitable (just from observing) for dealing with smaller groups/1 pack of elites, but is made for fighting larger groups of enemies. I dont see how this is more effective in general than just going leap/revenge/wrath/earthquake, where every pack is just as easy no matter if they're 1, 2 or 3 packs/a single mob.
