Hello, fellow Monk players!

It just come to me that i want to do a little mathematics about the monk's damage,

and about the relation of Life on Hit and Lifeleech. And I want to share my results

with you.

Let me introduce my method. I call it TTHS(The Thousand Hit Scenario). With this

i will show you how will your damage and lifesteal change if you hit a

single target a thousand times with the same weapon with different stats on you .

I picked a Fist weapon for now, cause it have an average AS (1,4 atk/sec) and

Monks like to use it :)

Let us begin!

The 1000 hit scenario:

Let me fix the weapon dmg to 1000 (min-max 1000-1000)to make the calculation easier.

1 fist with AS stack: lets see the best case scenario (im not counting the legendary

items only rares to maximalize the AS you can get:

base speed 1.4 with 25% as on it = 1.75

put on the max AS items : 4*17=68 ---> 4*1,4*0,17+1,4*0,25+1,4= 2,7 attack / second

dmg output during 1000 hit(crit chance 5% crit dam +50%):

950*1000=950.000

50*1500=75.000 1.025.000:370 = 2770 dps

370 sec (estimated time for 1000 hit)

1 fist with crit dam + crit chance stack: again the best case scenario (-legendaries)

base speed 1.4 with 100% crit dam + socket=70% crit dam (im calculating with

Star Emerald cuase it can be obtained easily now)

put on the max crit chane-crit dam modifiers: crit chance (6+10+6+2*4,5+10=+41%)

crit dam(65+2*35+35=+170%)

adding to base stats:

5+41= 46%crit chance

50+170+170= +390% crit dam that means a critical hit deals 490% weapon damage

damage output:

540*1000= 540.000

460*4900=2.254.000 2.794.000:714= 3913 dps

714 sec (estimated time for 1000 hit)

The numbers above are only non-skill weapon swings, no dexterity and skill

modifiers added. But Lets check with skill and dexterity multiplier:

let me calculate with 1200 dex (thats the amount that all medium-geared monk have)

1 fist with max IAS using FoT(no rune)

(DR,CW all of them 110% wep.dmg)

and WotHF(no rune)(140% wep. dmg):

FoT dmg output (5% crit chance +50%crit dam)

950*1000*1,1*12= 12,540,000

50*1500*1,1*12= 990,000 13,530,000:370 = 36567,5 dps

WotHF dmg output (5% crit chance +50%crit dam)

950*1000*1,4*12= 15,960,000

50*1500*1,4*12= 1,260,000 17,220,000:370 = 46540 dps

1 fist with crit% + crit dam%

FoT dmg output (46% crit chance +390% crit dam)

540*1000*1,1*12= 7,128,000

460*4900*1,1*12= 29,752,800 36,880,800:714 = 51654 dps

WotHF dmg output (46% crit chance +390% crit dam)

540*1000*1,4*12= 9,072,000

460*4900*1,4*12= 37,867,200 46,939,200:714 = 65741 dps

note, that these numbers can change, because of the animation speed of the skills

and any other modifier you can have on gear, etc.
