I really dont understand why the AH is littered with 2h's and 1h's above 1100dps, it is beyond me.
For the past week now ive been farming 5+ runs of 10 elites and the Siegebreaker per day now, and only got 2 items worth selling for more than 5million. The result being that those who are lucky enough to find these magical 1100+ dps weapons think they are godlike and put them on the AH for 100,000,000 gold, which is !@#$ing rediculous, is there really people out there that will buy for that ammount? Are you that %^-*ing stupid seller/buyer? A 1000dps generic blue costs 2-3m, but the moment it breaks the 1000dps mark it TRIPLES in price, WTF!? I understand that rares with stats are important and expensive, but seriously, if you think your getting even over 40m for those weapons from anyone but people like Kungen, Athene etc your a joke. |

d How exactly are people duping items already without getting caught? |
d Well people are getting hacked so duping wouldn't be that much trouble |
|

Wtch youtube. Believe when i say,
d u p e .. .. Warden will not catch them not yet, because the way program works is injecting into the player game, but not into the system memory or the game folder. It has no trace. I wontpost links, but if u are curious, a simple google or youtube should suffice to show you what is going on. Also, there is a gold hack, that makes gold pop all arround you. Ppl will do anything, coz of rmah. |

MF has absolutely nothing to do with the affixes you get.

Wtch youtube. Believe when i say, RMAH isn't out yet. |

As it been said, yes, mf doesn't affect stats at all.
2 items 5 mill + ? I once found an item I sold for 500k. Minus the AH cut of course... you're rich. |

Wtch youtube. Believe when i say, Aha. So if the solution they have for Diablo 3 is anything like the solution they put in place for World of Warcraft then... each item generated has a UID. When you dupe an item, you're copying the item it was duped from, so you're simply copying the UID as well. So what do you think happens when an item is created with the same UID as an item already generated? ;D Two items cannot exist with the same UID. At best the duped item is going to be removed from the game. At worst? It'll be removed from the game and you'll be permabanned. That's even if duping is possible. There are ways they could use UID to prevent duping in its entirety. And Blizzard may not even act on the data they have instantly. They'll sit on it for a while, and then ban everyone involved in a tidy ban wave. I'd refer you to the glider ban waves (35,000 accounts at a time, from data gathered over 6 months+). They're an insidious bunch, the Warden devs. Anyone who dupes, or thinks duping is a wise idea, in D3 is a moron. It's not like D2; Warden 2 is MUCH more sophisticated than any security solution they had in place for D2 pre-Warden, and duping will work as well here as it does in World of Warcraft (where it doesn't work at all 99% of the time). I doubt we're going to see the old faces returning to D3 for another round of market creation/manipulation ;D I'd hazard that a few of the people responsible for that are now employed by Blizzard. And if you know who the old faces are, you're a true D2 veteran (or you just know how to read) ;P

I have a hard time believing it is even possible, like the last poster explained UID and transaction based approach, everything you do with item has its history. The items themselves are generated by the servers not you ! So you cannot create items, when you move the items, owner is changed, that's it !
Youtube videos doesn't explain how it works, so I am skeptical about this. |
The video of items being "duped" are all from the beta, although I'm sure some muppet will watch a video, follow a link, download a file and then... well then we'll have one more "I GOT HACKED WTF BLIZZARD" thread on the forums. :P |
Wtch youtube. Believe when i say, The problem is that they are salvaging the duped items. and repeating that many many many times... then they use that to create REALLY nice items from blacksmithing... That's why... |
|

Wat?
How does this fit in with the endless threads about how useless blacksmithing is and even the best items from there are rubbish?

I do know that the Blacksmith is waaaay to expensive to level up and way to random to guarentee any upgrades compared to AH when levelling. ( Blizzard have, afaik, said the same and will fix this ) BUT, when cheating, as i have seen on youtube, the duped items can be sold/salvaged items thus providing for free attemps to make upgrades. Literally indefinite attempts... I dont know if they are directly capable of being above 1100 dps, but i do think that giving enough attempts they could. ( keyword think, i DONT know) There you go.... one possible explanation... I only watched it on youtube, and it seems "ligit". I saw one guy drop the same 15 items 4-5 times in a row to his friend. His friend just kept salvaging it...
