Ghost: would be annoying enough if it could only resurect once. Killing it twice is enough.

New ability:
Affix: (Rich) - Elites with these affix are very strong and have many HP. Elites with this affix will also drop at least 2 legendary items + 2 rare items with very high rolled affixes (at least 5 affixes/item). If the player finds 2 different packs with this affix, in the same farm run, then, even the legendaries should have very good rolled affixes. Make this affix spawn as often as any other. If you create this affix to elites, I agree with all new ideas, I even agree with no restrictions to the abilities that elites can have. |
Really nice list! Well thought and imaginative. THE ONES THAT MAKE ELITES DROP LEGENDARYS AND NOT GARBAGE ALL THE TIME !!!!! How bout that ... A REWARDING ELITE !

Illusionist is fine. When all the screen is full of mobs, elites, other players, spells....it's mayhem :)( |

Negator sounds a bit too rough to me. As a monk all I'd see is my all res halfed so I can barely tank, my damage reduction not being applied and losing 1.7k armour too. Since monks have to go into melee range and I'd have much less damage reduction anything like arcane or whatnot with just 600 all res on A4 would be a bit annoying.
To me though I think the list is really good but got a few too many stuff that basically counter the melee's quite aggressively on later acts and not enough designed to counter range well. Stuff like negator and elusive seem like if they'd go together a monk would be kind of screwed on a tough pack whereas ranged can just kite and not worry about it as much. I've played DH and Monk a lot so just saying what I think because I feel these affixes target melees a lot harder.

yes just what we need.
blizzard puts the entire team to work on "NEW FanTastICk Game MeckaNNICkS" read all about it. and come back to diablo. just have to put thoes pesky game saveing changes on the back burner. joke aside. theres alot of cool ideas on that list. just bugs the c... out of me, that this is the post they respond to, after close to a week of complete nothing. and since he whent to all the trouble of logging on to make this great reply, he may aswell lock a few of the unpopular treads. good damn blizz. you make me wish diablo 3 whas a sup game i could cansel over and over and over ps. im gonna get bannd arent i? :-) |

The problem of this list is that it lacks as much imagination as the original affixes list.
What I am saying is that it's as bad as the current affixes. ---- The O.P, as The whole Diablo 3 team, is missing a huge point: It would be great to finally have monsters that requires you to "Think", instead of making you juggle and tumble all over the map to desperately kite enemies. And it would be even be better if elites affixes, elites themselves, and the area in which they are could have some sort of connection. |

Great ideas all around, but few of them stuck my concern nerve, mainly being fortification. While its a great idea, it just works the opposite way of a hack and slash game. Preventing damage to a limited amount would feel like your character cant improve any further to kill this pack with that affix.
As a good example, imagine playing a wizard with arcane orb and archon. Arcane orb is already capped so there wouldnt be any offensive reason to go into archon to kill that elite pack. But otherwise i really like the ideas. Oh and dueling should probably be "linked" together such as a fire chains like effect or colored both the play and his duelist the same overall body color, such as blue for player 1, red for 2 ect. |

Let me give you JUST ONE example which will make the O.P and the Development Team think twize and wonder why they missed this one. It's simple, but it's enough to make players require a specific tactical approach: - Tactical Affixe: Elite kite hero if hero shows to be strong. Elite Directly attacks Hero if Hero shows to be weak. Elite tries to surround hero if hero shows to be equal. Note that by "shows" i mean that as soon as you damage the pack, they will know your strength and fight accordingly.

There already have a new affix since 2 days ago or so.
- "kill me and no legendarys for you until 2013" Almost all elites have this now |

Explosive needs to be incompatible with vortex/jailer etc, fine if you can get out the way, but a death you can do nothing whatsoever about is not fun, and I've had too many "vortexed into the frozen that goes off 1 nanosecond later while you sit on 5 lots of desecrator/plagued/molten/arcane enchanted/fire chains" deaths to want more.
