The thing is that I dont like their IGNORANCE! That guy asked for a date but they could answer in another manner...NOT "SOON"! I mean come on!

Its entirely possible that they have been told to keep it quiet, while the latest patch gets tested internally. The release date might not be set in stone.

No joke was intended, at least not in the sense you may think.

We often get asked about ETAs and dates of patches, and almost just as often we cannot give an answer because a date has yet to be set.
When we say "Soon™" it is because we are not entirely sure when the patch will actually be ready.
When we say "Soon™" it is because we prefer not to promise a date, which will then cause a lot of anger and frustration if we miss it.
When we say "Soon™" it is because we do not want to create false hopes and raise expectations we may not be able to meet.
When we say "Soon™" it is because Blizzard as a company is known to be using the word “soon” rather often, hence the play on the ”™”.

Until such a time when we are absolutely sure that the patch will be ready, only then will we provide an ETA or date.

On a different note, if you have feedback about the forums or community staff, please send it to CMfeedback-EN@blizzard.com

When we say "Soon™",
time goes by

When we say "Soon™" ,
angels will cry

When we say "Soon™",
devils will die

When we say "Soon™",
the patch will eventually arrive.

Sorry, I didn't realize it was trademarked. :), I'll refrain from using it ever again.

Anyway I can understand most of the points. I assume there is also a certain level of secrecy at blizzard to prevent leaks, that will cause just the problems you have mentioned.

Even if you cannot provide the community an ETA (which makes perfectly sense), why not keeping the community posted frequently?

I'm happy to see active CMs again but please don't leave the community in the dark for long periods of time. Share some details with us please. Let us know what you guys are working on so we (the community) can perhaps provide additional feedback.

The ”™” addition to the word "soon" is just a little nudge on the fact the we tend to say soon so often. I doubt it is actually trademarked ;-)

Anyway I can understand most of the points. I assume there is also a certain level of secrecy at blizzard to prevent leaks, that will cause just the problems you have mentioned.

Sure, that goes for secrecy as well. People tend to get angry or frustrated if they are disappointed by announced content not being released on time (or not at all), so we tend to avoid promising things if we are not sure they will be ready and/or working as intended.

I am rather sure we have actually said that a couple of times in the past when soon was too soon :-)

On a more serious note though, your feedback is noted... I understand that people would like us to be a little more specific than just saying soon.

Would you be so kind/unprofessional to unveil a bit of the secrecy here?

We are, eagerly, waiting on the new changes and fixes that are coming.. are we talking days here, weeks.. months...?

I guess days.. well I HOPE days...

edit: heh got beaten to it >.<, still vague

2nd edit: We don't care about gui changes, forum changes, chatserver/bnet changes.. We would like to (want..) know what and when the (promised/should've been in already) changes are going to be. We want the game to be good and enjoyable, not this boring grindfest (yes grindfest, all we do is farm to farm.. no point at some point anymore) that lacks 20000% customization.

About the feedback. I see a lot of people complaning about scammer etc. Why you dont create a double check trade and double check drop. Something that we need to activate in the options, but when we activate, everytime we try to drop an item rare or superior it ask if we realy want to do that and same about trades, when we activate the scammers protection, when we trade something it show what we trade and ask for another confirmation. Those confirmations have to be activate, so we only need to do that when we going to trade with someone suspicious or we are in a public game and dont want to drop an item by mistake and get robbed.

just give us some path notes or headsup for whats going to change and instead of w8ting its wil be soon

for u guys soon can be taking 6 months

u can say an date when we could recieve a update and u can work to get to that date and if u guys cannot manage that u wil say the patch is extended for another 1 or 2 weeks buts its kinda crap talking if u say its soon

for me soon means 1-2 weeks
for someone else soon can mean 2--5 weeks
for someone like staf or a company soon can mean half a year or longer

and this means ur just hoping that people wil come back and prepare for patch 1.04
if that soon isnt be soon enough u wil get more rage posts anyway and people who wil quit

u can also make the patch in patch 1.04A and B and let us have the biggest problem in the game Fixed as with the droprates and affixes if u just would give us the tiny path what bring people back to the game why dont do it now?

the changed with the AH can w8 longer and the others fixes or patches what people dont need right away

we need a patch what fix the problem of what manny people need
