It's all in the money. If good items were abundant, no one would use the RMAH, Bliz wouldn't get good coin, and Jay's belly wouldn't be big and fat. Bliz's job is NOT to make a game with which players have fun, it is however to starve players as much as possible but still not too much so that they remain in the game.
Blizzard creates despair in you, player, by keeping crappy drop rates and ridiculous stats, so that you end up thinking that paying real money for items that bots farm is just worth instead of farming until you grow white hair maybe for no candy. |

And with how much MF were those items obtained? MF increases the chance of rolling more affixes on items, so some of the useless rares could have had like 8 stats instead 4 if they dropped with 399% MF instead like 100% MF.
It's a huge deal, often weapons just miss that 50% dmg increase stat and it would have made them awesome if it had just that... low MF = likely bad items... doesn't matter if they are ilvl 63. |

You should really take a look at http://www.diablofans.com/topic/57939-magic-find-and-its-efficiency-a-statistical-insight/ Early results indicate that MF does increase the number of affixes on rare items, however, the effect appears to be minimal and close to neglible for the standard elite drops. It does, however, appear to have a prominent effect on the NV rare drop.

This is shocking. I knew that the drops were just fricken terrible but I had no idea just how bad they really were until seeing this video.
A casual player has literally no chance of ever finding a good item. Therefore the AH and Gold AH are the only ways to 'find' decent loot. How can a 'loot' based game have such incredibly terrible loot? Also all the loot is very generic and boring. The dev team would have to work hard to make it worse than it is now. I had actually logged on a couple of times this week and played for a couple of hours. After seeing this now however I guess that's it for me... Blizztard your Auction House simulator game sucks. |

Stop complaining if you know nothing about big numbers...
-How many players are playing this game? -How many items they are getting each day? -what would happen if every 5th would be good? Think before you are starting to flame... |
|

The fact he has 1000 items smells like not all were found and some may have been brought (ones that were classed as junk using exploits already).
Most items in Inferno Act 3 are lvel 61 or higher. Only about 10-20% are below 61. Items are no more or less random than in Diablo II where everything was junk unless you won a lottery. |

Stop complaining if you know nothing about big numbers... Indeed... it would be stupid if it rained good items, everyone would be super imba geared in no time and then they would complain they can't upgrade their gear anymore... sigh. |
|
|
Point being if you need 28 items for each char and x that by 10 char = 280 items ye right have you found more than 2/3 since the game start it would take like 46 years to find that lot, O ye flags out ye har blizz good going.

i really wouldn't mind if i got like 3 i63 in a whole week and knowing and getting that feeling when something falls and you know it's going to be good, or at least decent... NOw i ID 2 inventories of 62&63's per run and usuallly just vendor it without seriously looking at stats.... rare items stats got freaking beat to hell lately...

The guy responsible for the whole loot system should take responsibility.
This is the #1 reason why people are pissed off. This game just can't even hit the top 1000 best games ever, even when it's carrying Diablo in it's name... The core mechanic is a huge flaw. The game is so incredible unrewarding once completed. There is no end-game. Then why even make a multiplayer game, when the game can be completed in 3 hours. The only way to get at least a little bit satisfaction is decent loot. Or wasn't it the intenstion to create a good game, better yet, to even TRY to create the game of the year? Oh wait... I forget money was involved. Yes, let's make a game where item 'a' is a rare and future rolls are excluded to get even close to item a's stats. Rares sell for a higher price. So if 'a' is sold, we can roll another good one, item 'b'. Rince and repeat. Way to make money. Pvp end stage rmah? I just see no reason to hit paragon 100. Mf is a big lie since 1.04. 0 mf or 400 mf doesn't make any difference. GG, for the first 3 hours. I don't lie, the game was awesome. Now, hitting the 1000+ hours gameplay, I just can't take it any longer. |
