...with all those allegedly "build-changing" legendaries? The stash is incredibly small, and adding another class will only exacerbate this problem for people (like me) that play all classes. How are we supposed to try out different builds that require different item sets if we have no place to hold them and they aren't tradable? This is especially problematic in HC, where re-rolling and twinking is not an uncommon occurrence.
Things that we might want to keep in our stashes:
-White items that are now required to craft some recipes
-Rares that we want to trade
-Alternative item sets for different builds for our characters
-Alternative item sets for the same build but with more toughness, like a shield or jewellery that gives you more EHP but less DPS (very useful in HC for boss fights, new acts and whatnot)
-Interesting items we don't want to disenchant or vendor for the time being
-Twinks for future HC characters/HC characters that don't have the required level yet
-Maybe some other things I'm forgetting
As you can see, for some people the stash is way too small to keep all the things they want, so....
Blizzard, PLEASE increase the stash size by one or (preferably) two tabs. I love a lot of these new legendary items, and I want to collect a lot of them so I can eventually try out different builds. but the current stash size makes this impossible, especially in HC.

hey blizz heres a idea... for the price of lets say 2,50€ one can buy 10 additional stash tabs to a maximum of 65k stash tabs in total
and yes i am serious, and i do believe i am not the only one that would spend money for this.
you just cant be too greedy on the pricing since the addon doesnt come for free to begin with ...

in vanilla i hardly use even my first tab but that was only because there were 3 tipes of items:
but with ROS
i need at least 1 of each legendary with unique affix (more likely str/dex/int versions)
craft material gems etc
like week ago i read blue post where they said that they wont increase stash because they dont want us to keep all the gear(cant find source)
but that is ridiculous they expect us to salvage all legendaries and when we decide to try new spec we are suposed to farm it all over ?
+1 to more tabs. I like hogging items and i currently even have mule characters just so I can hold all the items and materials i am getting.
I started playing hc and I see the issue of extra tabs affecting me.
Blizzards please give us more tabs. But don't make us buy them with real money. That idea sucks.
Guess what? Path of Exile feature incoming ' Daily Deal! 1 stash tab just $2.99 '
Blizzard forcing us to pay another 30euro for game and then if we want better game experience we have to pay even more!
Some of you guys need to understand that they still need to earn cash from something, by making these deals they will be able to keep the game running. I don't see any other way they will keep the host up without AH...
I'm pretty sure they will be adding more stash tabs to the game but not for free. That's just my opinion.
I feel this is needed too. Even if they feel the stash is large enough for everything we will collect, I think it could be very useful for a tab that will only hold gems and mats? One extra tab, designed specifically for the gems and mats would be nice. Kind of would solve their theory of having enough stash spots, and not quite being able to hoard an unnecessary amount of items.. Just food for thought..
Thanks for the thread Maka, I'll just er-post what I said over on Diablo Fans as it saves me typing it all out again:
I played D3 from very early on with 5 60s, one of the reasons I missed the chance to push my first 60 through the original pre-nerf Inferno was because I was levelling alts. I've struggled for a long time with the current stash space and trying to keep gear for all five character classes.
The way I've seen the new loot system, crafting, legendaries and BoA stuff explained, it seems like those of us with 5 60s (or more) are going to be suffering for space unless we're extremely ruthless. Unfortunately, I like keeping gear for different builds as it keeps a class fresh to switch it all around and try something new - something that's even more likely and possible with the way new legendaries work.
I can understand that Blizzard want to make the game all about choices, and choosing what items to keep for your character should be part of the game. But now with 6 characters to do that for and only having 3 stash tabs is very limiting. I'm not taking into account each characters personal inventory, as with no "Cauldron of Jordan" or "Nephalem Cube" (remember those?), inventory space is important to keep you out in the world killing longer. But back to the point...
Each full character of gear is (non-2H) a maximum of 22 spaces, with each tab having 70 spaces. That's a little over 3 full character sets of gear per tab. I'm not sure how many crafting materials or gems we're likely to be keeping back, but that's limiting our space even further.
As it stands at the moment, it seems we'll be able to store one complete change of gear or two partial changes for each of the 6 classes, with a little extra space leftover for items we might want to trade.
I know I'm being very literal and making assumptions, but for me personally, with the changes to crafting, BoA etc. this is not enough stash space by a long shot. I look forward to playing each class at 70 and having different builds to try with different gear, but that's not going to be easy at all with such limited stash space. I'm sure I'll get by, but I won't be enjoying the game as much if I feel limited to throwing away a set of gear every time I want to try something new. Personally, I would much rather see double the amount of stash space, but even one extra tab would be welcomed.
And an addition to my original post:
To try different sets of gear with each of your characters, you'll want to store up the first 3-4 items of each set you want to try. With no AH, it'll take longer to get the items you'll need to finish these sets. Not everyone will want to trade with strangers in channels or venture onto forums so will resort to self found. That means you could end up with several incomplete gear sets for trying a new build in your stash. This is going to make it even more unmanageable across 6 classes.
I can't help but think of those times playing cards when I'm trying to get 3 or 4 of the same card, but have 2 of different cards. The one I get rid if always seems to be the exact one I'll find two more of on the next few goes. It'll be the same with collecting gear sets. I'll discard one and the rest will show up soon after.
The funny thing is that they added another class (more items to collect), they added a ton of 'build-changing' legendaries (more items to collect), AND they added recipes that require you to have a specific white item (more items to collect), yet they don't think we need more space. As if we were swimming in stash space in D3 classic, and these additions won't make a difference.....
@Castan: I, too, play all classes, and, like you, I like to keep different gear sets to use with different builds, because, like you said, it does indeed keep the game fresh. This refusal by Blizzard to give us more stash space is a little disheartening.

I've posted this elsewhere, but my thoughts on this goes...
The thing that I find problematic is that white items need to be salvaged now. If we need to lug white items back to town as well, then there's going to be a lot of town trips. I'm not looking forward to that.
On topic though, I agree, we should have more stash tabs.
I mean, there's a horde of new legendary items being added to the game, while Blizzard brags how all these new items add so many potential builds. If Blizzard really wants to promote so many new items between the six classes with such a large pool of builds, then why are they so keen on restricting our ability to hold onto these items and trade them between our characters?
I would also appreciate to receive a bit more stash space. Beside the already stated reasons I also feel that I will be left with less available space as soon as the AH is shut down. Unless some major trading mechanic is introduced that allows us to buffer our items outside the stash tabs, you'll have to make room for potential tradeable items that previosly directly went into the 10 slots + 50 slots of unsold / bought items. And that was per AH, i.e. gold / real money. With these slots gone there's even less room to manage loot.
Maybe if you don't want to give more storage "for free", you might want to reevaluate the process of unlocking additional stash tabs. As it is now, purchasing the additional space is easily done within a few first hours of play; even more so with bounties if the rewards stay the way they are in the current beta version. Personally I'd be fine with a concept of earning more stash space throughout my playtime. Maybe not everyone needs even the basic 3 stash tabs if quite a few players only play through RoS campaign once and then go on to the next game. Maybe some players who spend hundreds if not thousands of hours would greatly appreciate a bit more room for their loot without beeing forced to disenchant most of their findings.
