So since Diablo 3 came out i have missed the Necromancers heavy summoning abilities.
But with Patch 2.0 out a lot of changes has occured. While going through some of them i realised that the summoning witch doctor now stands much much better, so i made this.
I'm currently farming Torrent 4 with this build (Pre RoS)
RoS: STILL WORKING GREAT!
So the key to this build is the Fetish Sychophants passive paired with Firebats with the Vampire Bats rune for free mana cost. this will allow you to spam it and summon your Fetish army in no time.
If you decide to play solo, use the Enchantress companion with this skill-setup and weapon.
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/maximus (get one with Intelligence)
this will yield you another strong pet. and great crowd controls.
You can swap out the Hex ability with something else if you don't find the ability performing well.
here is a few suggestions. (i recently switched Hex to Spirit Walk: Jaunt, for that escape against the really bad elite groups)
(for bosses you might wanna switch Hex to Fetish Army (Head Hunters) or Big Bad Voodoo (Slam Dance)
1. Spirit Walk (Jaunt) or (Healing Journy)
2. Wall of Zombies (Creeper) or (Wrecking Crew)
3. Fetish Army (Head Hunters) or (Tiki Torchers)
4. Big Bad Voodoo (Slam Dance)
5. Mass Confusion (Mass Hallucination) or (Paranoia)
Stats to go for:
Offensive Stats Value:
2. Crit Chance
3. Crit Damage
4. Attack Speed
Defensive Stats Value:
2. All Ressistance
3. Life on Hit
4. Life Regen
This build is amazing and immensely fun ! Thank you very much for sharing it with us :}
Shoutout and a big thanks to Jambo for adding these items to the thread.

How do you do in small corridors when an elite pack full of nasty aoe hits you? Do you have a backup build for that or ?
The minions perform well for me in the open, but can cause problems if:
- My minions split up and attack 1 mob each, while an elite pack is hammering me (I have to clean up the lesser mobs first)
- Small corridors where they have problem surrounding, and I only have close combat abilites, too little dps basically
- Key warden... He kites, and my minions are more then happy to go dps something else entirely as key warden keeps on kiting everything into new mobs:s
can you explain role of spider queen in your build? im currently using pretty much what you do, but instead of spider i queen i use wall of zombies wrecking crew (still pretty high cooldown :/ ) and slam dance instead of hex. why have u picked spider queen? (i dont doubt your choice, im just curious :) )

Honestly, Spider Queen is just for the role of another pet, my intention for this build is purely to be used like a summoner to get that Necromancer feeling some of us miss from Diablo 2. :)
and well, it does decent damage. :)

I was trying this build tonight and by doing it I found this ring, what do you think?

Looks interresting, but the main purpose of the z-dogs is being meatshields. their damage is pretty low, and bringing the number of dogs from 4 to 1 might not work in your favor.
but try it out mate. and tell us how it works. :)
found this thread, maybe it still works?
(Big Bad Voodoo: Boogie Man lvl.58 Rune)

Since i've been long away from the game, would a combination of Rain of Toads along with Acid Cloud be a match for Spider Queen and Firebats in a scenario that you'd spam Rain of Toads instead of Firebats for the fetish' procs, both for Solo and Group play?
Well both Rain of Toads and Acid Cloud will spawn Fetishes, so yes. that could work. :)
I've been playing with pet build in the last couple of days, and it's been a blast. Hope they don't nerf it like they did every time something interesting pop up. I prefer fetish army to dogs because they do way more damage while distracting enemies. Since I have two items with additional fire damage I use wrathful protector rune of gargantuan. It's killing things off like no one's business. It lasts only 25 sec a time, but I can pretty much always call upon it when needed thanks to GI. I got mask of jeram today and hopefully I get tasker and they and the knife with fetish army cool down reduction soon.
TBH, I don't see how you can make it work with that little gear on T4 :/ I am currently running Healing Journey instead of your Hex and also Jungle Fortitude instead of having a 4th dog. I am still getting low on life very fast and there is no easy way to dodge iffy situations. There is no real "oh sh!t" button in this build and nothing is bursty enough to overwhelm nasty opponents. If your movement gets impaired in any way, you are screwed. Is this the new Diablo feeling or am I doing something wrong?
Tried a similar idea, i got lucky with a Mask Of Jeram and The Gibdinn
The Gibdinn: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/the-gidbinn
it goes pretty well on t3 but i have not tried higher levels of torment i also use Rogar's with fierce loyalty passive for pet (and myself) all around survival
for now my dps and equipment are very crappy, maybe i will update on new stats
Really nice build for advanced players. Tested this recently in torment 6 mira runs and it works awesome.
But changed hex to big bad voodoo and spirit barrage to fetish army. Going to test this on some elites :)
Edit: got a mask of jeram and a piece of the new zunimassas i think with the 4-bonus it will be even better
