At the moment there is a serious exploit possible with the Satchel Loot from Random Dungeons. The specifics have been listed on the PvP Forum a while ago ( http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3124472588) but the gist is that by manipulating the Dungeon Group set-up you can get Satchel rewards meant for level 55-64 toons on far lower level toons, creating very unbalanced results (besides bare stats, WotLK Enchantments).
These kind of toons now apparently also have found their way in the bracket people trying out WoW by means of the Starter Account program eventually end up in, which doesn't make for the best marketting ( http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3129453814 )
Which, if any, action will Blizzard take, and which, if any, action should players take?
while so far the examples include the ilevel 60+ gear, it stands to reason it might also be possible with the iLevel 35+ gear from level 26+ Satchels. Of course, the iLevel 60+ gear is for the moment more attractive to exploit, but if that possibility gets removed people will most likely try out the TBC-chant gear.

19/12/2011 09:13Posted by DualstabIt has been reported and there was a hotfix (in progress or deployed) to sort this, however that hotfix dont prevent people that allready aquired the gear from using it
Thank you for the reply, like I said I just wanted to make sure it was reported.
Still the answer is rather troubling.
If people are allowed to keep gear that was acquired in a way that makes the Paragon etc. exploit seem like childsplay (at the end of the day, they acquired gear on their toons their toons would be able to get anyway, 'just' a lot sooner; this is getting gear your toon is not supposed to ever get on that level, period) people are basically incited to exploit as much as they can, as it would be a low/no-risk activity.
