wow and windows 7

Just noticed this thread by occasion but is it true that you don't have to do anything to have WoW run in 64 bit version?

I remember reading something like that that in case you start WoW using the launcher, it will automatically select the correct version depending on your system?

My personal opinion is that Win7 x64 is the best OS you can have for WoW currently.


I think it runs much more smootly on my Commodore C64.
Running it on 150 ram now, I thought I had 300 at first,
but half turned out to be ewes.
Why Zazkya, you don't look a day over 25.

It should, but if you want to make sure that your WoW client is running in 64-bit, you can start the launcher, go to “Options”, “Game Preferences”, and make sure that the “Launch 32-bit client” checkbox is unticked.

If you then launch the game, the login screen should display (x64) on the bottom left corner of the screen.
