One rule: no rules!

Competitive 1v1 StarCraft II matches can really get the heart racing, especially if an unexpected drop or Nydus Worm wreaks havoc on your mineral line! Trying to guess where your enemy is going to make his next move is enough to keep anyone on edge—but what if you had more than just the one opponent to deal with? If you think your nerves can handle it, well you’re ready for the Free-For-All (FFA) mode!
The rule in FFA mode is simple: be the last one alive on the battlefield. How you achieve that is up to you! Perhaps you’ll form an alliance with your enemies before stabbing them in the back as soon as it’s safe to do so. Maybe instead you’ll ‘turtle’ and keep quiet for the whole game in the hope that the others will soon forget about you. Whichever plan you choose, FFA battles usually end up in an epic clash for domination, with swarms of Battlecruisers, Carriers and Brood Lords fighting for the ultimate victory.
So, are you familiar with this mode and do you like to engage your friends in a glorious FFA confrontation? Maybe you’re a newcomer to the fantastic FFA mode and looking for some advice. Whatever your situation, be sure to let us know your experiences, stories and survival tactics in the comments.

If we can't go on FFA with group why let you player who know each other play together ? That not Ingame alliance, that just farming... And that really pathetic !
Do something Blizzard or FFA is never FFA !
FFA consist of massing the correct unit to take out the opponets correct massed units
The biggest weaknesses in FFA is that there's no ladder system, so that newbies will quite often come up against experts, and the complete lack of rewards...
Insert a number of new portraits there, as well as a series of FFA-specific achievements, and it'll be much more enjoyable as well as used... Possible achivements: race type, specific strategies, army size, income size, etc... (not necessarily achievements that require winning...)
Sadly, someone who wrote this text must be in bronze league cause he doesnt know that nydus can be countered easily by workers.
And i think there should be ffa ladder.
There should be a FFA map with out a natural expo or atleast multiple entrances to the base, so these turtle while be either roasted or poked out of their shell.
All in all, attacking in one direction and being attacked from another is quite the nerve-shocker, and knowing nobody else is going to help directly, just hoping someone attacks their base at the right time really pushes the adrenaline through. Picking a strategy that's able to counter anything is key - otherwise you'll beat one opponent hands down, only to be wiped out by the next. If you like epic battles between the largest, most varied and most powerful armies, FFA is definitely for you.
Well I may be wrong, I did only a few matches and every time it's someone with 50+ BC that crushes everyone because he turtled. I'm just too scared to attack or harass the only terran player.
