We’re pleased to announce that the Global Battle.net Invitational and GSL October Final are both set to take place, live, during BlizzCon on Friday 21 and 22 October, 2011. Top competitors from all over the world will take to the stage in front of a sold-out crowd and put their skills to the test for a combined prize pool of nearly $300,000. Whether you’re attending BlizzCon in person or from the comfort of your own home, you’ll be able to catch all of the action and root for your favourite players.

@SLSung: it says " combined prize pool of nearly $300,000" This means both Blizzard + GSL = $300,000. I don't think players can participate at both competitions at once really, so imagine at best, the price pool for each is 150k.

@SLSung: Besides, it's the GSL finals, so at most it's the top4 players playing the semis, bronze match and grand finals.

That is an appealing amount of cash for sure. I don't know who to support anymore though, I am a really big fan of July but recently have also grown to like Huk and Puma! Puma has especially impressed me with his tournament battle against MC.
