StarCraft II

The Intel Extreme Masters tournament starts today and features 16 of the best StarCraft II players on the planet. GosuGamers took some time to talk with participant Benjamin “mTwDeMusliM” Baker about his thoughts on this event. Check out the recently released broadcast schedule and follow the action on ESL TV, featuring the always entertaining commentary of Sean “Day[9]” Plott and Shaun "Apollo" Clark. See who comes out on top and takes home the biggest chunk of the $15,000 prize pool.

Ukrainian Zerg player Dmytry “mTwDIMAGA” Filipchuk emerged victorious in the #29 Go4SC2 Cup organised by the Electronic Sports League. Meeting his teammate Benjamin “mTwDeMusliM” Baker in a nail-biting final, he locked the first place prize of €200 after winning the match three games to two.

The eighteenth edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup saw a clash between two of the top terran players: Stefan “mouzMorroW” Andersson from Sweden and Pedro “fnaticLucifroN” Moreno Duran from Spain. In the end it was MorroW who prevailed, beating his opponent in three games.

The qualifiers for the NVIDIA GosuCup, with a prize pool of €1,500 are well underway. The first four players to qualify for the playoff stage of the tournament are Hayder "LiquidHayprO" Hussein and Nick "ajtls" De Cesare, who both triumphed in the first tournament, as well as Chris "HuK" Loranger and  Giacomo "Socke" Thüs who defeated their opponents in the second tournament.
