Campaigning on the Go

The new Battle.net provides a wide array of features, and we want to make sure our StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty players know just how campaign progress storage works. We’ve seen a few questions on our forums about what to do if one wants to play on different computers, say between home and work or school. When logging into Battle.net after loading up the game, much of your campaign progress is automatically restored from our servers. We want to give our players the necessary tools to easily continue Jim Raynor’s fight from anywhere without having to carry around a USB stick of save files -- though saving mid-mission save files to your collector’s edition dog tags can still come in handy!
If you’re logging into StarCraft II on a different computer and have previously progressed through a portion of the single-player campaign, you’ll be able to select Continue Campaign and pick up right after the last mission you completed. Campaign progress is stored for you on Battle.net as part of your character profile and includes all missions completed, tech and research upgrade choices made, mercenaries purchased, and Achievements unlocked prior to the most recent mission completion or branching mission choice made.
And that brings us to what is stored locally on your machine -- the aforementioned mid-mission save files. If you want to revert back to a specific save point in the campaign on a computer different from the one you used to originally save your progress, you’ll need to physically or virtually transport your save files. This should only be necessary if you wish to continue the campaign on a separate computer, but do not have Internet access and must choose the Play Offline option. These files are generally located within the StarCraft II folder in the Documents directory of most operating systems. You can copy your campaign save files from within the Accounts folder to a portable storage device, or upload them via email in order to transport as needed.
The upshot of all this is that with the new cloud file storage system on Battle.net, you usually shouldn’t need to carry any save files with you to continue where you left off in the campaign. Don’t forget to check out the campaign guide here.

so far it work
thank you so much!
i have 5 barracs and 20 scv
Then simply queue marines and medics into the front of your base at the top of your ramp. Ensure an armoury is built and they are armour and ammo upgraded and also have a SCV make enough supply buildings for approx 120 unit limit.
In terms of SCVs harvesting, you need 12 on the crystals and 3 on the vespene. At that rate you will have a very large army (ratio 2/3 marine 1/3 medic) by 8 mins remaining. Move your main army out and keep making marines/medics to stay in your base and fight off any more attacks.
Your attacking army will be absolutely able to trample the 3 hatcheries on the SW and then the one in the NW. Make sure when you attach the 3, you pulk back a little and micro so you do lose units needlessly and the sheer volume will be able to decimate it all.
Honestly - if it isnt working you dont have enough units because you arnt harvesting fast enough i.e. not enough SCVs. Also there is no need to defend anywhere on your base except the top of the ramp which will help a lot.
this objective is just imposble!
now i need to finish stage 3 on hard and destroy 3 zerg hacherry for a new portrait.
anyone has any advice?
They are able to do this on PSN why not on battle.net?
(I will post this question in a seperate thread in the forums aswell)
I remember the good old Warcraft III saves.... <sigh>.
I logged in on my home PC again and everything's right but I can't continue the campaign on another PC. The system is not very transparent. I have no idea, when exactly does it try to upload the progress to the battle.net servers. I'd welcome a button to do that manually and a message perhaps, if the process has been successful, because it obviously not always is. :(
Also, once the campaign has been completed the only way to reach the archive is to manually save the 'victory auto save' of the last mission as the 'continue' button is removed (umm, might be a bit wrong on that one, can't recall exactly). Anyway, it seems a bit hokey to me. Would be better to have all current campaigns (in progress and completed) as part on the 'continue feature' on the home screen (in a table or list of some sort).
you can unlock it at media blitz. Using the archives won't help though. You have to find an earlier save.
