Apollo Analyzes the New Season 6 Maps

The sixth StarCraft II League season has begun, and Team Dignitas’s Shaun “Apollo” Clark recently posted in-depth analyses of both of the new Season 6 maps: Cloud Kingdom and Korhal Compound.

Korhal constant surrounds and sneak-bys are way too annoying and imba, imo. Taking a third is a nightmare.

people, how can i post a game replay in the forum´i ve seen some peolple do that, and we clic and can view the game, because in this new map i, a simple bronze zerg cruch a gold protoss, and i want to show, how i make that?

Hi, Nice analysis but you have missed couples of points for Terrans.
Actually this map is very powerful for Terrans if Siege are placed at proper locations backed up with Banshee & Viking. Then, it is GG for the Zerg & Toss.

@mohwrdlife: Placement match is ranked as well. It is counted to you MMR. For placemnet you dont get any points, but still it is ranked.

For Cloud kingdom it`s enough to have 2 buildings like gateway and one pylon to wall natural with zealot, if you have 3 ex gateways the natural will be completely walled. While air can`t be so efficient for the reasons you said, keep in mind that there`s a very long way for you army to walk into the main base if you`re lurking outside your natural. And if you have a third then it`s really easy to bounce back from main to third(with air).

Korhal Campmound is great map. Played it twice and really easy for zerg i would say vs Terran. U can easily take 3rd and 4th isnt so far. Great map to macro games.

@EndlesBlades: I said it is great for macro games. And there are many chokes that terran can exploit. Like siege on ramp near 3rd. And taking 3rd for terran isnt so hard coz u can easily wall off at ramp. Or even wall together with 4th.
