The Most Valued Forum Posters

The Most Valued Forum Posters

It’s been quite a while since we’ve shared information regarding our forum MVP program. If you frequent Blizzard forums you’ve no doubt seen jade text stamped across threads here and there. Those with the power to wield green words are regular players — just like you — who’ve been recognized for their contributions to the forums in one way or another. And since we want to provide these player advocates with the resources they need to continue being awesome posters, MVPs have direct lines of contact with Blizzard community managers.

Now the time has come to bolster the MVP ranks. Those chosen for the program aren’t official representatives of Blizzard, and they don’t have to agree with every decision we make. They also aren’t expected to give up their posting personas in order to join. Our goal is to find frequent posters who are a positive influence on the gaming community in some form, whether it be through posting strategy guides or tips on various aspects of gameplay, or even just bringing a positive and constructive tone to the forums when socializing with their peers.

If you or someone you know fits the description of a Most Valuable Poster as laid out in the MVP FAQ, email us at Community-EN@Blizzard.com. We select MVPs based on a large set of criteria, so don’t be discouraged from putting your name out there if you only post on, say, the Protoss Discussion or DPS Class Role forums. MVPs are welcome to post wherever they’re comfortable, including across the Diablo III, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft forums.

But remember! The key to being a strong candidate is having a solid posting history. We’re always on the lookout for the next shining beacon of good within the community to join the illustrious ranks of our MVPs.

If i may speak freely, Blizzard is doing what you call a "Cheap Shot". They are asking for valuable information to progress their games even more. Also this will make them earn more money without having to get any employe's.
In other words trick you. Use you and your creative thinking, and give you green text on the forums for it. Instead of a steady paycheck or something like that sort, in return.

@Elia: It is ment to be a way for enthusiastic posters to help the community nothing more.. Why do people have to be so paranoid about it, if you think Blizzard is so cheap, why do you still buy and play there games, what are you doing here in the first place? I gues you are not MVP material and bettern yet you should sell your PC and never come back on the internet again.. Yep that should be enough..

@Elia: Players are helping other players for a reason. It is not to get some cheap money out of it.. If a person is really nice to people and helping them day in and day out he should be rewarded for doing so. Your "Green Text" is a big reward for most people.

Everything is not about money..

Maybe they should have different MVPs for different games, for if someone helps D3 but not SC2, they should be coloured on D3 forums but not SC2 or something similar?

I think kumori really desreves to become the MVP and I wouldn't be against it if they would choose plintstorm since he is also a good poster with solid arguments just as kumori.

@CaptainFail: I might post much, but I am not really doing much in terms of healping players, a thing MVP is to do. And my grammer/spelling is way to low in skill :P

@Plintstorm: Grammar and spelling shouldn't have anything to do with that (unless it's REALLY bad).

@Penta: Yeah true, what people seem to overlook is sentences that don't sound like someone is reading them out loud. More like they are hastily writen. For example "I like how many people like so much to play terran". Blizzard I think should overlook all minor details. But a MVP should always be easily understandable.

Too bad... this seems a bit like stalling for time on that release date.
Reading the comments it seems that we basically have two candidates.
While I have'nt noticed Plintstorm being a troll (possibly because I often agree with him) I'm going to vote Kumori.
