Heart of the Swarm Update - New Video

A large number of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm demo stations were featured at the MLG Spring Championship that ran June 8-10, where attendees sat down to see the future of StarCraft II multiplayer first hand. We wanted to share the excitement with players who couldn’t be there in the flesh, so here’s a video featuring the latest updates to the Heart of the Swarm multiplayer units.

Terran face off against zerg in this battle report.

1) 2 seconds transform to change in + 6 seconds channeled ability + 2 seconds to transform out = 10 seconds.
2) thor does 2x30=60 dmg per shot. Attack speed is 1.2 seconds. In 10 seconds it means he can perform 8.5 attacks. 8.5x60=510.
3) targeted unit suffers 6 second stun. The stun doesnt apply to ultralisk. It used to and it will again according to information provided by blizzard. But it doesnt right now. Target firing ultralisks therefore leads to same results.
Possible usage:
- in TvT versus another thor (situation just wont ever happen since in TvT thor can be shooting on another thro only when position was lost. Therefore one players army is dead anyway).
- in TvP: hit the immortal (cheaper unit, doesnt justify the fact, thor can be feedbacked) or collossus (only problem is, that collossus has range 9 and cannon 8 and collossus movement is way faster).
Corruptors and brood lords to go fast I have seen but more often i saw all raven attempts to just die to fungal growth. And I watched replays of far better players than me (BeastyQT and Kas namely). The other 2 spells of Raven are very decent at the very least.
Mines I watched video, it takes about 8 seconds to detonate. Speedling counter attack will bring them to your mineral line in less than 2. Unless they dont do a friendly fire, but i know they do.
- guardian has changed into an evolution of corruptor called brood lord
- corruptor is its own unit unlike an evolution of mutalisk. the reason is mutalisks were so awesome that their evolutions were pretty much never used

hate this units . i think this game hasn't any micro macro or something ...
I think that swarm host could be a unit that may be nerfed in future. Vipers may also need to be nerfed somehow. The hydra speed and Ultralisk charge are really good uppgrades, because they will really make this units more useless.
New protoss units and skills heard first kinda OP. But after seeing that game I think Blizz has made really good options. Mothership cores best side is that it will help in PvP to expand earlier as in WoL. Oracle is also a good unit, but it needs little extra APM to use properly.
Terran units seems to be actually here just to help Terran to use different playstyles. Not just bio... I think this is absolutely a good solution.
Now we just wait the release date! :D

swarm host can be bad but on the other hand it could add so much to the game if you make it work right.
ultra charge and mothership core mega c00l I think it will add a lot of great opportunity to the game,
