1.5.0 Arcade Beta is Coming to a Close!
Your chance to help test the Patch 1.5.0 Arcade Beta is coming to a close! Your feedback on the 1.5.0 experience, including the Arcade and multiplayer, will help ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible with the official release of Patch 1.5.0. If you’re not already familiar with it, The Patch 1.5.0 Beta introduces a slew of exciting new features, including the Arcade, improved UI, a new streaming client to reduce patching times, powerful new Editor tools and more.
The Arcade offers exciting new ways to find and play your favorite custom games — and discover new favorites too — with the option to search for games based on categories including genre, star ratings, release date, and more. After you’ve found a game that you’re interested in, the new Game Info page will provide you with all the information you need to know before you dive in, including a description, screenshots, instructions, patch notes, tutorials, as well as star ratings and reviews provided by your fellow players. The Open Games list will help keep wait times down by displaying games that are waiting for players too.
When you log into the beta, you’ll find the Arcade has games available to play, because the industrious StarCraft II custom gaming community has already been hard at work crafting, refining, and posting their creations. If you’re a game creator, there’s no time like the present to take screenshots, write a description and upload your game to prepare your creation for a slew of new players.
Now’s your chance to explore the Arcade Beta to play, rate, and review their contributions. To access the new beta test, just visit your Battle.net account management page and install the Arcade (1.5) Beta that you’ll find in the Game Accounts section. Your feedback is an important part of the beta process, so after you’ve done some multiplayer and played some Arcade games, please visit the official forums to share your opinions or report any bugs you’ve discovered on the Arcade Beta General forum.

Please note: While the beta installer is available to all players, the Patch 1.5.0 Arcade Beta will only be available in the following client languages: English, German, French, and Korean. The final patch release will be available in all languages as usual.

Not that I mind, my American friends didn't feel like downloading 8GB anyway.
It's not that it contains any new information.
Is it a call for the mod-makers that did not migrate their map to 1.5 to avoid having 100 1.4.4-popular mods that are all buggy?
I have the feeling that this will be the case with 1.5's release. To many people refused to publish their map/mod on 1.5 (to fix the problems that are introduced with every major patch due to unclean data settings in most/all maps).
Anyway, thanks for the beta.
It was a pleasure to crash the editor, screw up the layouts of "melee" (default multiplayer) players, toy around with the new features in the editor and getting a sense of the awesomeness of a global play feature (All beta players are using the same server, so meet your friends from all over the planet).
I really hope that you "fix" the gameUI layouts before playing a match by applying the default layout settings again. I don't want my mod to be able to "destroy" the default multiplayer players just because they played my mod before playing ladder.
I didn't experience it now. :)
