The Epic Win
There are certain successes in gaming that are so exhilarating and satisfying that they can only be described as an “epic win.”
Epic wins can take on many forms. Occasionally, an epic win will follow a long string of defeats; after fighting what seems to be an impossible battle, you’re able to come from behind and claim a last-minute victory for yourself or your team. Other times, an epic win is the culmination of several perfect in-game actions: your APM is high, your build orders are precision-timed, your micro and macro are flawless -- everything falls into place as if predestined, and when you come out victorious, you sort of just want to sit back, put your hands behind your head, and say to yourself “yeah, that was awesome.”
These successes can occur in any game you play, really; from board games to PC games, you can achieve an epic win in almost any challenging environment. In fact, while StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty has only been out for about a month, we imagine that many of you have already experienced your share of epic wins, be it in single-player or multiplayer games. Given how positive and exciting these successes can be, we think it would be a great topic to open up to the community.
So, tell us: what’s your epic win moment?

Zerg vs 2 players.
Great counters, great tripple side attacks. fast 8 base spawn trought 30 min, made possible by scouting.
NiclasHL@g2gm.com :) I would love to get and share replays :)
Only bronze league, but Protoss Vs Protoss - I started by blocking my main entrance, and Kenji must have known where I was to start with as he immediately started by blocking the way out with ported in troops.
I held back and realised there was another way out, through the south expansion of my base! but Kenji hadn't clicked on - so I Teched to Dark Templars, managed to sneak out and create a 3rd expansion south - and grouped my templar task force.
I managed to stealth all the way to his main base, and wiped him from his base all the way back to mine.
Love watching it from his perspective, seeing a column of invisible templars on their way to wreak havoc! i'm sure he thought he had me cornered with no chance in hell of making a come back!
hope you like!

not (only) because it's the last mission, BUT:
i had great trouble keeping the enemys out of base each time after the QoB came in to destroy all my precious flame turrets and aa turrets. everytime rebuild just in time.
but then, right before time was up there was not chance, every unit, every defensive structure was destroyed, the QoB came in and teared my base apart, started to attack the artifact.
probably only seconds before the artifact and my command center would have been destroyed time was up - boom - epic final movie.
so, really, terrible match for me, but felt great and as thrilling as an epic last mission should feel, though i got through it the first time and didn't have to play it over and over again (which really sucks when you want to see the movie for the first time).
i am tempted to call this an epic^2 final mission ;)
First two we lost. So naturally we were kind of whacked at the difficulty level (or so we thought). 3rd game we played @ High Orbit v a Terran and a Toss. It was a very heavy fight and the terran placed in my natural (the one covered with rocks) a proxy barracks. We discovered it and just be4 he destroyed the rocks we had a small welcoming committee for him. Lost a lot of troops there. Then the Toss attacked head on @ our reinforced ramp. Our remaining stationary forces and the survivors of the previous skirmish lost the upcoming fight. Luckily we had already constructed a second wall that led to my base. Dodger had difficulty dealing with the Toss while I poured marine after marine at the Toss. Finally overcoming them. Quickly giving some recources to my mate we quickly responded with some marines and marauders to keep pressure on them. Besides the Terran was still overcoming his failed attack so he was also weakened. The next 30 minutes were hell on earth. MMM attacks, warp prisms in our base. Expansions that were kicked the hell out of. But slowly Dodger and me got a foothold at the base of their ramp. Dodger had the vast proportion of our land army with Thors and Siege Tanks. Assisted by my Marines and Marauders. Meanwhile I kept air superioraty with vikings some battlecruisers and ravens against pesky Dark Templars. Our push came @ the 51 minute mark. Heavy losses at both sides, but the terran lost to our power, meanwhile the protoss was concerned with the battle, i send some to his mineral facilities. Obviously his main army was busy with, slightly, more important thins as simple probes. So I could take down his 2 expansions. The Battle waged on and the protoss was forced more and more to his own base. Meanwhile I send a couple of my medivacs to get the marines and marauders and attack him from behind, and ofcourse the reapers who were eating outta their noses. And the toss called gg. Finally. It wás my first real multiplayer victory and still, my most precious one :D. Nowadays it all appears to be a lot easier and ofcourse you learn from your mistakes, but I have to say... man what a hard earned victory.

We should team up, maybe 2 players will do the trick. I tried it ;), but I guess that one players scv's aint enough... who knew! :P.
Imagine the image when both armies corssed each other in the middel of the map, without as much as touching each other, just to get to the last building :-D
Did you have a couple of pylons left in said opponents base when the last hatchery went down? in that case i really hate the fact that i didn't put more spore crawlers down before i moved out... Although, however epic it might have been for you, it was infinitely more epic fail for your opponent.
I have a 60+ hydra and op have 30+ voids.
And he goes to kick my first base and I was on the other side on the map going to destruct his base.
And he win without killing any of my hydra.
That's is my epic fail and his epic win :)
Sorry, about my bad english.
i won the game and it got scored as a loss, i even sent replay to blizz, but they couldnt do anything about it :P
that makes me happy.
I love void rays, especially because most of the time I got way more vikings ;)
Shooting your dropships filled with your precious High Templars, EMP'ing your main army, while engaging mine and having your probes as shooting practice for my reapers all in the same time: EPIC!!!! ;) :P :D
