StarCraft II
There were some fantastic games played in the recently concluded NVIDIA StarCraft II Gosu Cup. After a tremendous comeback from a 0-3 deficit, Canadian Chris “HuK” Loranger’s Protoss army defeated Frenchman Adelscott’s Protoss forces in the thrilling final. Also, the opening season of the Global StarCraft II League, with a prize pool of $170,000, is well underway. Taking place in Seoul, this phenomenal tournament has the best of the best from the StarCraft II world competing. The action has been fast and furious, with some of the tournament favourites already knocked out and a few underdogs progressing. Warcraft III
The Samsung Euro Championship saw Danish Night Elf player Thomas “ThomasG” Glinski face off against German Orc player Heinrich “Sokol” Rennert in the final. In a tense match ThomasG ultimately emerged victorious, claiming the title of “WCG SEC Champion 2010”. In addition, the MSI Beat It tournament has come to a close, with Chinese Human player Xiang “TH000” Huang winning the final against South Korean star Jang “Moon” JaeHo.
