Tournament Format

Group Stage

  • Round of 32 Group Seeding
  • Best of 3 double elimination
  • Top 2 players from each group advance to playoffs
  • Bottom 2 players from each group are eliminated

Playoff Bracket

  • Best of 5 matches in each round
  • Single elimination
  • Round of 16, quarterfinal, and semi-final stages

Grand Finals

  • Best of 7 match

Map Pool

Map Selection
Before each match, the two competing players will be given a pool of seven maps. A coin flip will determine who will veto the first map. Players then alternate vetoing maps one by one until three maps remain. Players then alternate picking the order in which the three remaining maps will be played.

  • The BWC Gosu Trophy
  • $100,000 – Champion
  • $40,000 - Runner-up
  • $16,000 - 3rd
  • $8,000 - 4th
  • $5,500 - 5-8th
  • $3,500 - 9-16th

I really hope there will be a good VOD system, otherwise this is a f'ing joke. Actually it allready is a joke, why watch at all? Another Zerg will win, and get not deserved money by building a few infestors infestors.... SORRY I SPOILED THE TURNAMENT RESULT :(

Right... although time zone conversions are unfathomable to some and it is definitely more easy to complain about them in comments-section than to actually check whether there is a timetable in your local time...

However if you go to the "detailed broadcast schedule"-link and click on "Show in my local time"-dot in top corner of schedule you can see exact timetable in your very own local time (no matter your timezone).

Also - regarding BWC itself; I'm really exited. There are some great games coming up right from the group stage. I'm ready! :)

1. They can't even do this for EU
