StarCraft® II

A little help please.

Sorry if this has already been answered.

I've currently bought the CE of Starcraft 2 which is of course on the EU server. I was wondering if I have the ability to add my friends from the US/Canada to talk to?

I mean will I still be able to play games with them or am I locked in the EU only zone with no possibility of changing. If so then thats not very ideal.

They will add a patch that includes cross region play sometime before the release of heart of the swarm, maybe in two or three months or so. You will probably not be able to add US people to your friends list while playing on the EU server though, you'll need to switch to their server to talk to them.

Oh I see!

I thought this might have been the case. I can change my server status through my account settings which I attempted this morning however I had to dash off before I could attempt to play any one. I take it playing with the US guys will be patched with the cross feature functionality.

Hopefully with the further patches they'll ask which server we want to play on. I hardly got any lag playing the older SC games with my overseas friends and would be unfortunate if we all have the game but cant link up for UMS or 4v4's :(

Sounds good though!
