[Feature] Campaign Coop
|
Dear Blizzard Support Team,
StarCraft2 continues the legacy of the original StarCract perfectly. Which makes it one of the best games currently available and incredible fun in multiplayer. I have an idea for a new multiplayer feature, which should not be that hard to implement, but would make the game even more awesome: A coop mode for the single player campaign. Now don't give the second player a unique base, this would need all maps to be changed and rebalanced. Let him join and during cutscenes or on the ship, he sees what the first player sees. During gameplay he gains shared control of the first player's units (like the old team meele). This would allow friends to tackle higher difficulties even though there individual skill are not yet that high. It would allow interesting now strategies with more micro, would bring some fun moments and add a lot to the current coop experience. It would be great if you could forward this to the development team. Thanks a lot! Best Regards Alexander |

Yes, coop is a great idea. Not shared control, just separate units and structures, because while playing with shared control some commands might conflict and ruin the battle.Missions with small attack teams of about 10 units each player for example. Especially since heart of the swarm is coming up and it's very RPG-like. I hope Blizzard sees this.

Agreed. I've been wanting this feature for more than 10 years. It could be implemented on missions where the player has to control 2 races (there are quite a few in SC1). Or when the player has to play with a few heroes (for example when you play with Raynor, Tychus, Swan and the scientist in a cave).
