What type of mouse do you use ?

What type of mouse do you use to play Starcraft 2 ? I am curious about what types of mice do people play with as I plan on getting a better, probably gaming, mouse to play with.
Please post the name of the mouse, how good it handles with Starcraft 2 and if you can post a link to a picture, that would be great. Also, what gaming mice do you recommend to buy for playing Starcraft 2 ? |

Using a Logitech G5 mouse, it works extremely well for me as it has this little box beneath it where you can place different weights(all come with the mouse) and decide how much you want it to weight.

I have been using my old logitech MX optical wireless mouse up until now, it is ok however when I tried the razer mamba it was day and night. Now I bought a razer mamba which is the top of the tops and i'm loving it. If you are ok with wired, check razer they have a whole line of starcraft2 related accesssories (keyboard, mouse, headset).

I use a really cheapo "PC line" mouse because I broke my previously nice MS "Intellimouse" (bought back in 2003, great device, RIP) during the beta, have an address that most couriers can't deliver to, and the only non-basic mice any physical retailers around here sell are friggin' Logitech.
And given how aware I am of Logitech devices having this affinity for not only breaking, but being set up to break themselves, I'd rather throw my money into a fire. Saves me from ending up with a useless lump of plastic to dispose three months later. |

Logitech G500 and yet I still suck :P

The mouse won't make you better unless you reach a level that you are in diamond league, and your APM is too fast for the accuracy your mouse can offer. Don't expect to become superman just with a mouse. However if you reach your limit and a little bit of extra precision would boost your performance a bit, then the mouse can make a small difference. What's important i'd say is to get a mouse that doesn't make your hands sweat after some time of straight gameplay.

I have one too, and I was surprised at how 10g can make a difference :) I was also surprised to learn that cordless mice like the MX1000 really do have input lag. |

Razer Imperator.
I had Logitech MX518 for years but it finally died couple of weeks ago. |

Currently I am playing with an 2 year old 5 euro nameless mouse. It works but I am thinking of purshasing this by the end of the month :

Razor DeathAdder 1800dpi. I use a iMac 2009 edition.
Took me a few weeks to get the mouse working under iMac though. Those stupid Mac OS-es has a weird exotic mouse acceleration that is really annoying. But after a few weeks I found a program to fix it and it now works great. just like in Windows. Razor and Logitech gaming mouses are both good choices. |
