first off; why does the na forum have SOO much better sorting off forum section while we on eu doesnt even have a hots section :( thats just sad; come on webdesigners off eu:

now for the problem, as was also mentioned on the na forums; kerrigan doesnt look at all like you would imagin her from the artworks off how she should be as the leader off the swarm and even worse her weapon is a ghost weapon; so basicly she is using a gun from a ghost which she steals amunition from..... yer just doesnt feel right; maybe its just me but when playing with karrigan as the leader off the swarm i would like to play with something like this
http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101218020659/starcraft/images/b/b6/InfestedKerrigan_SC2_Art4.jpg

and not something like this;
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/game/heart-of-the-swarm-preview/

that bascily looks like a ugly and "want to be angry" ghost with dreads :/

really hope they will redesign kerrigan to be really nice and cool looking before the release; would have to play a full campaign hating the main chars look and use off a rifle while everything around her is 100 times cooler then her to look at and use;

edit;
gamewise i think kerrigan have become kinda a #!@%*%#%!, like she starts out by whining about what awefull things she have done, i mean wth ?! am i the only one that really wanted to play the badass kerrigan that kicks butt so hard that people can taste her toes ?? i don't wanna play a weak lady who doesnt know left from right and who just fight to survive with no actual purpose; i wanna play the badass STRONG insanely cool looking kerrigan which is the head off the swarm and knows everything about what she want and what she needs to do..
i personally really think it sucks how much human they made kerrigan and how little off the "swarm" is left in her; they might as well take jim and let him go in and take over the swarm if thats the approach they are gonna take :/
as said i so much hope they give us the REAL queen of the blades and not this wierd human thing they have shown now :/

As far as I was able to see from newer trailers Kerrigan now attacks with some kind of a Psionic Lightning instead of the rifle used in earlier presentations.

As for the looks I think the'll stick to the ghost suit. Maybe she could be re-infested during the campaign (there were some artworks that hinted this), but she'll definitely start off as nearly 100% human.

please provide a link for this, just searched around and wasnt able to find any newer vids off hots gameplay without the riffel (if your referring to the customize game made over the sc1 campaign its not a official part off any sc game and the model used is the one from sc2 wol which i find MUCH cooler then any ghost model)

i really do hope this is true; no one that love zerg would wanna play a normal terran unit as the leading hero off their army :/ its like having a queen as the leading unit in Wol; just wouldnt feel right :(

I do strongly believe that Kerrigan in HotS looks like a mix between Nova and Tosh....which is just wrong....and definitely not what I expect the leader off the Swarm to look like. Although they released a lot of the artwork already, I hope that Kerrigan will look more like her original WoL form, though without the heels, those felt wrong as well. If not, then I think I'll just keep her in my base guarding my drones under some overlords, while I lead my broods into battle, skipping as many cutscenes as I can and trying to forget that she exists.....

While it's cool to expect 'badass' characters, those kind of characters are generally 'empty' to me. Just because they look cool and act all badass doesn't mean they are a character at all.

From what I gathered, the goal of HotS was the conflict within Kerrigan. Personally, I'm rather tired of characters that feel like they can take on the world on their own(and succeed at it every now and then)- a character that has to make decisions(humanity, ruthlessness?) grows and leaves marks. These marks are what defines a character, it's what made Arthas(the Lich King) strong in Warcraft(before WotLK) and for example Aragorn in LotR.(in the books that is) A character that can deal with anything(be it battles or battles of consciousness) becomes boring pretty fast.

Then again, I've noticed a lot of people actually desire black & white characters like that. But then, that's my 50cent.

@Zain except that HotS will just be a poor Hollywood-grade attempt at plot and character depth. please play WoL (with your undivided attention) and then tell me that Blizzard have any kind of competence in story design and character development! it's sad and embarrassing. i wouldn't play this campaign in front of anyone who knew me personally because they would just think of me as a naive and superficial person with no taste. if you disagree then you've probably not played SC/BW before or you aren't very sensitive to the fine details that comprise the art of storytelling, atmosphere building and character development. others would call you easily satisfied, but i find that too broad of a statement to make about one's character.

Personally I don't see much of a point in threads like this anymore, because Blizzard is almost guaranteed not to change direction and you're just wasting your time trying to convince them of their mistakes. They just don't comprehend what it is that they have done to the storytelling, they might not even get that they've made drastic changes to the feel of it compared to the SC/BW campaigns. They think they're being original with SC2...

And just in case anyone is about to say "it's a whole new game, it's okay to change things" or something like that; don't. A certain consistency and self-respect for the theme of a story has to be preserved between games, and SC2 just hasn't done that. The story seems to be largely the result of writers accepting the first idea that they get, because it's too darn convenient than coming up with alternative ideas and ensuring that the overall experience is in line with that of the original games. Needless to say, most of the characters are not believable at several points throughout the campaign, some don't have even a single believable scene like the UNN broadcasts (and don't say it's due to comedic relief, because that %&*! is hardly funny). Contrast this with SC/BW where almost every single line is fairly believable, not to mention beautifully voice acted to grab your attention.

And to those saying "it's only the first 1/3rd of the story". Firstly that doesn't fix any of the issues that are not strictly plot-related, so the game is still pretty tainted. Secondly, it's pretty bad if you think we should only judge the game after we complete the last mission of LotV (and have emptied our wallet to Activision). Just like you can tell a bad movie during the first act (or at the start of the second act at the latest), and in some cases after even just a few minutes, I can tell you that the whole SC2 campaign trilogy is going to be bad (because Blizzard is not going to change it) just by what I've seen from WoL.

Oh they have become worse at it. WoL reminded me of the Lich King story in WoW.

But yeah I expected more in terms of story as well. The UNN broadcasts were just.. Painful. I'm curious as to what they'll do with Diablo 3 in terms of story. The WoW story has just stopped being interesting altogether, and Starcraft.. Well, I have my doubts there as well.

At some few glances I say she looks more like she did in Brood War and Original.
Let Chris the Man decide the fate of his inspired universes. He started good, he ends good.

I hope that Kerrigan will get her Blades and infested look back because she just dont look like a zerg queen anymore, or it is just that she will get her old looks back as the game progresses and as you use her speciall abilities.
