So according to Blizzard 30 mission in Wings of Liberty was too long for most players... What? The main reason peapole should play the campaing is for the story and lore. Achivments and other stats like that should be secondary. You only want to play the campaing for Achivments and other nonsence like that? Fine, I dont care that much, but just dont make it so the peapole playing the campaing mainly for the story and lore, which should be the main reason for the campaing I might add, suffer, as we are doing right now in The Heart of The Swarm. Please Blizzard make the The Heart of the Swarm campaing longer than the Wings of Liberty one.

Sadly, HotS will have less missions and there is nothing you can do about it. I suspect that this is because current gaming world is plagued by casual gamers. About 15 years ago it was not so. What changed was:
- not so many people had computers and those who had invested a lot of money into it -> not so many young children could be part of the gaming world, they spent their free time doing other activities => this caused the average age of a gamer to be much higher compared to nowadays - you could make a great game with only a small development team and small budget -> this caused the gaming industry to be more work of passion than business - the lack of internet would mean lack of information -> this means mostly 'hardcore' gamers where able to exchange information about games => causel gamers were scarce Since then the gaming world has been "casualised" and "dumbed down" because of following reasons: - casual gamers form majority among gamers - causal gamers are more easily satisfied by content Just look at this and you'll see what I mean: http://helppage.3dfx.sk/fendek/dumbed_down.jpg |

i JUST care for the lore. The damn lore is 99% percent of the game. And i really got rage when i saw the mission number in hots.... That means shorter story for more money. If LOTV is even shorter than hots then whats the meaning of buying the damn game :(
Blizzard dont have the passion anymore its all about money and yet more money they dont even care for the amazing story anymore :( |

but this will Adversely affect for the game whay : the battlefield 3 a Famous fps game and its a series not just one game it has a good fan alikers but never beat call of duty whay ???? for one simple reason : battlefield 3 is focus multiplayer it dosnt had any Legacy or story like call of duty had and this make call of duty more funny and more likel and give the series the Follow-up love now i afried maby the new ea rts that called generals 2 will overtake starcraft 2 i wish im wronge but Neglect the story This will be the result |

And the worst is that they initially promised between 26-30 missions per game when they first announced they would split Starcraft II in three parts:
http://www.gamespot.com/news/blizzcon-2008-starcraft-ii-split-into-trilogy-6199172 It now looks a lot like lying... Also, Wings of Liberty might have had 30 missions, but, in terms of play time, that was nothing compared to the 30 missions of Starcraft (hell, there's even an achievement to finish the campaign in 8 hours! Try that with the original Starcraft...) |

So... Blizzard lied to us... Its Activisions fault. Casual gamers are casual gamers. Dont they understand the defenition of casual?
Hardcore gamers are the peapole who play the games alot, make the games for them. Casual gamers as the name suggest only play the games sometimes, then fore you should not concentrate on them since they dont play the freakin THING!!! I hate Activision. |

can we start a petion or something?

Sadly, HotS will have less missions and there is nothing you can do about it. I suspect that this is because current gaming world is plagued by casual gamers. About 15 years ago it was not so. What changed was: I think it's because there are more casual gamers but I think they are mostly adults over 30 and probably no longer have a lot of time for gaming like they did when they were younger. At least according to the statistics the average gamer today appears to be over 30 compared to the '90's when most were teenagers or in their early 20's. I am highly disappointed that HotS will have less content though. I was also hoping that it would have a similar number of cinematic cut-scenes as WoL did instead of being given the same treatment as Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne expansion was given.

It is possible there will be a greater number of multi-stage levels (such as Belly of the Beast and Ghost of a Chance). At least that's what I think will happen because during the Blizzcon presentation it was mentioned you'll get to play around with both evolutions of a given unit. A multi-stage mission would be good way to play around with both options before making a final choice.
Still, 20 does seem far too little, even if the average mission takes longer to complete. |

I am not suprised really... It's blizz. I have lost faith in them long ago =(
