Sorry my english is bad.

So i have this laptop since Maj 2011, and since februar 2012 sc2 worked perfectly on this system with medium settings and windowed full screen mode 1920x1080. It worked ok when 4:4 8 maxed armies fight in middle of map.. i had no problem playing.

Now i play 1:1 and have like 150 vs 150 food.. and i meet enemy units and i get 1-5fps... seriously i watch dia picture frames.... totally not playable.

I don't know what happened... i don't understand.

CPU: Intel QuadCore i7 2630QM, 2.0GHz, 6MB L2

Can you tune down your shadders in in-game settings?

Have you updated your video drivers to the latest available? for nvidia card.

i experiented a lot last 30 games...

tried every setting possible (on low or off)

made some small changes but when big armies meet its all over... basicly around in-game 10 minute mark, we all have if we turtle around 60 food army and this is all ready big trouble, fps drops... are like to complete stop for 1 second

every driver is newest, w7 is updated...

is format / reinstall win an option?

i want to avoid this option as long as possible and even if i do this, there is no guaranty, that it will be better, so why waste 5 hours of backing up, half hour of formatting 1 hour of OS installing and 4-5 hours off app and games installing.... if it can be fixed now.. tell me mr. ljere :) can you? thx

you might also try the following (posted on us.battle.net)

- Make sure your power setting is set to "High Performance" and not "Power Saver" or "Balanced"

- You can also try disabling Intel Speedstep in the BIOS. Though this setting usually causes a more dramatic problem, it could still be throttling the processor when it shouldn't.

- Another thing to try would be disabling switchable graphics and setting the GT540M as the only GPU in BIOS.

- Try booting Windows in Selective Startup. This will stop other programs from running in the background. To run in Selective Startup, view the link below: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21052

MoFoSLO, nažalost laptopi niso nareti za igranje igrc. Čeprov imajo takšne komponente.

Priporočam ti da spucaš prah iz laptopa, ponovno namažeš CPU in GPU z termalno pasto in formatiraš PC. + Priporočam ti, da si kupiš podstavek za hlajenje za laptopa.

Is it just SC2 which is struggling? Or is the entire laptop running slow? Other games having the same problem?
