Seeing as SC2 didnt even kill of Diablo or Warcraft 3 I don't see any reason to be frigthened of SC2 dying by the hands of D3.

We might loose a few player, its nothing that you will notice, and most of them will prolly come back after a while.

They are different games though. SC can only be killed by Blizzard if they ruined the balance. Why would they do this? Otherwise SC is a game like chess, it is a game not a fad.

Being an Ex WoW addict (I was the 5th beast geared(Raid)/revered Shadow priest (Vyne) in Europe in the TBC expansion + 15th best geared (pvp) rogue in Wotlk (Chaon)) I personally feel WoW is a drug of a game, "World of WarCrack" as I usually refer to it. I quit WoW due to:
1) Alliance getting the worgen race.. why the !@#$ would blizzard give something which is so cool to such a %^-*!@#$%^ faction!?.
2) I got a job.

..Now they tell me i could be playing a mofoing pandoran brewmaster monk thing?! ON EITHER FACTION OMFG! But yeah, despite my deep addiction and love for that game I'd never play it again because It's a life sink. (Plus it's EZPZ AND 0 CHALLENGE.. Compared to sc2 anyways).

Guild Wars was a good game though, damn fun, in the first few months of its initial release I set the world record for solo farming those griffins at Aurgury Rock (WarriorThing - DaNovaBlitz). The GW pvp was awesome compared to WoW imo. But again, a life sink.

D3 - Know little about it and care little too, offline or online D3 is just a boring concept imo.

So no, D3 probably wont kill any games and certainly not sc2.

And to those people who said the world will end this year based on the Mayan predictions : Mayans didn't have leap years, so according to their calender that date has already been and gone and we're still here :D. (I think today, to the mayans, would be sometime in July/August 2013)

Its addictional concurence and its logical to suppose that part of diablo III community, even those guys for whom diablo III will become their "main game", will recruit from wow and sc players. But i dont believe D3 will kill anything. Especially wow.

People will buy a copy of Diablo 3 and will probably stray away from playing their 'current' game; be it Runescape, CoD, SC2 or WoW. Just because it's a Blizzard game doesn't mean it's going to affect Blizzard games, only. That is such a derp comment.

Diablo isn't going to kill wow OR starcraft, that's like saying dota 2 will kill fifa and nhl -.- it won't break any records either, what makes you think a fantasy rts would be more popular than some extremely casual fps with a huge console following (cod ofc)? Seriously, wtf are people in this thread smoking? You're all PC gamers are you not (to some degree)? D3 and whatever other PC games that are released are direct competition to SC2 and whatever other already exsisting games. This is the case for everyone unless you only play a single genre of computer games.

D3 wont do anything to both games. I even think D3 sales will be quite a lot lower than what fanboys (like the OP) expect.

And wow haters gonna hate as usual and as usual wow will survive d3 and gw2 as it always does when there is a new "THIS GAME IS GONNA KILL WOW" game.

There maybe a drop in wow and Sc2 for 6-12 months as ppl start to play it and stuf but all of blizzard games are play almost 24/7 around the world, Dont worry about it lol there will still be ppl to play with when D3 is up and running.
