Is it just me, or does the team matchmaking system work in mysterious ways?
You'd think that after a win streak, it would pit you against harder opponents, but from my observations it doesn't seem to be the case. Instead it gives you increasingly less skilled allies. Why? It's so disheartening :[ Anyone else noticed the same thing? ...Or am I just going more paranoid after a win streak and watches allies more closely (thus noticing their flaws)? |
Cant find any fun in games where your team mates are way below your level... like in my last lost games i had an ally who was doing "something" at 6minute mark he had 1 rax, 1 gas, 1 marine, 1 depot and 8 scvs. While i had 12 roaches going for attack... I mostly play 4v4, was in master league few seasons ago, then went casual due to raiding, and now i got back to play some more SC2 due to we completed wow and only need 2hours to clear full HC... anyways... somehow i got to plat league after my 1st game in the new season... and i cant get out of it :) and actualy i blame matchmaking system....

This. Personally I hate team games, but I switched to Random recently so I've been using 2v2 random to practice various builds, to hell with the actual outcome. It took me very few games to realize MMR of both my partner as well as my opponents was all over the place. In one game I was paired with a Diamond player agaist two Silvers, and they were Favored. Crazy. So yeah, team games are for fun and for bad players to delude themselves they are high leaguers. The MMR will probably never be fixed, and it probably isn't worth the effort anyways. |
