Well me and my friend are both new to SC2 with no RTS experience before and we managed to beat two current and multi season masters in 2v2 on Discord (my friend is even on starter acc).

Is this like phenomenal and should I post the replay or is this something that happens a lot?

It was a custom match.

I have a pretty good win ratio in 1v1 but I don't know where I will get ranked up when I do.

I can post a video if this is unbelievable.. That's all I really want to know.

Just why do you think two noobs cheesing in a 2v2 and winning with it is interresting enough to warrant a overly cocky forum post and a crappy video on youtube...?

Plat 1v1 = Masters 2v2(Easy)

People tend to mess around in team games, especially custom ones, and go for tactics like fast nukes (or mass thor like in this game) or other unviable unit compositions just for fun.

Your opponents went mass thors instead of getting actually viable units vs your unit compositons like the siege tanks, with a few siege tanks they would have crushed your army. They most likely were just messing around in a custom game.

Im not saying its impossible to beat better players with cheesy play especially in team games, but your opponents didnt seem to be playing seriously based on the mass thor. To me it seems like you beat players that were just messing around.

No, team games is for fun. Not balanced but fun to play, and some players just play to have some fun :)

When I do team games I like to double expand on 16 Supply then mass only Phoenix's.
