Topic Higher level players in Bronze

I have come across several players who are not Bronze level, but are in the Bronze league due to them deliberately losing in the other leagues, so they are demoted and playing against poorer players. Is there a way to stop this or punish them for this?

You should report these player in the score screen. Just put "cheating" to the box and to description put that he has dropped on purpose. There isn't any other way I think.

Agreed.

Put cheating. Then write "losing games on purpose".

Don't hold your breathe for a response from Blizz though.

I think blizz actively punish these people. I guess by removing achievement rights or resetting the achievements.

There is no way for Blizzard to punish them, because, who are they to say that they lost on purpose? Perhaps they really got worse at the game? There usually isnt actual proof to show that someone is losing on purpose, eventhough its highly likely.

In my placement matches vs Silver and Gold, they surrendered within 10 seconds of the game starting.

As much as I loved reading this, and feeling that 'something' is being done - how often is this happening? Cause I seriously feel that during the Season 6/7 ladder lock that there were more droppers than any other kind of player.

It has become habit now to go and check player profile after a game to see what his league was/is. Always surprising to see currently placed bronze/silver/gold but in previous season was Diamond/Master/Diamond/Master/Bronze.

If you see 20 losses in 25 minutes, they probably lost on purpose ;p

If someone has lost 30 games in a row within 20 minuts, i think there is a fair chance that a someone is losing on purpose.

I guess that they could have been unlucky to face 30 Zerg players who could executed a 6 pool faster than the Spawning Pool build time, but that is very likely

Either you're trolling, looking for an excuse to say that you losing wasn't just because you're bronze, OR you're just playing people who are genuinely a lot better than you. I was silver level when I was in bronze after about a week of playing. I was beating gold players for about a month before being promoted. Last week I beat a diamond league player and nothing but plat players. I was promoted to platinum that day.
It's not cheating. It's practice. If you're losing, it's because you still have room to improve, if you're winning, you've got to look harder for what you can improve. That's just the way starcraft is. Stop caring about WHO your playing and realise that if you've lost, you need to improve and if you won, your opponent probably has to improve.
