Hi guys,

I'm a terran player who likes to go mech in all match-ups, but I've been running into a problem lately. When a protoss gets a mothership, my thors seem to focus down the mothership first before shooting the rest of the army, even with detection, because of the higher anti-air range. This is pretty annoying, because the thor is very weak against lone armored air units and I lose a lot of ground DPS in the time it takes for the mothership to go down.

The strength of my army is reduced by a LOT because of this and microing clumsy thors individually to target ground units is just too difficult in large numbers. Is there any way I can micro my thors to focus down the ground units first and let my vikings deal with the mothership?

Any help is highly appreciated!

Have you tried splitting your thors in seperate control groups and attack the ground units? Bit harder to micro but should be worth the shot.

A couple of thors should be able to attack the same target

try hotkeying the thors and just shift right click on enemy units to que up targets but if your gonna micro thors this way it may be better to use 250 mm then the units wont fight back. Off course dont use 250 mm on small units.
