Please fix queue times.

Hello guys I've been playing Starcraft 2 since beta and I've been enjoying it quite a lot, I'm a solid player ( currently ranked 1 in masters 1v1), but i also really enjoy playing 4v4, which I mainly play as a random player not in team with 2 more ppl to abuse the system, only on rare occasions when a friend asks, Im usually top 1-5 in 4v4 also, but lately I have a huge problem, I can't play the game, The minimum queue i get is around 20 mins, sometimes it reaches 30-35+
http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/5390/waittimes.jpg This is really killing me, I've stacked more than 300 bonus pool, because I can't play the game, sometimes i just quit queue after 30 mins of wait time. I dont think this is normal, i ask people in game and they say they get normal queues from 1-4 mins max. I think my MMR or something else is bugged, If you have to reduce it or w/e, INCREASE the range where I can meet people cause currently it's nearly impossible to enjoy the game. ty. |

Queue times have increased dramatically due to falling popularity. This inevitable. Once Hots is released the queue time will go down. It has affected many areas, including Custom Games. I sued to play a lot of Megaton 4 v 4 in custom as a warm-up before going into league games. Can't do this any more. Sat there with a game open for hours the other day but didn't get enough players.
If blizzard worked harder to keep casual gamers rather than pandering to the e-sports scene then this would not happen. When HoTs comes out the player base will saturated for a time and you will be able to get quick games. Then the wait times will increase as people go off the game again, then when the third instalment comes out the same thing will happen. After the third instalment popularity will slowly decrease until the game is only played in South Korea. Then in about fifteen years they will release Starcraft 3 and the cycle will begin again. |
You're playing too well. Great problem solving decision... except even if i ever wanted to do that it would take me so much time to drop games and really why would i do that i wanna be from the top players ;d |

I've got an idea. Hey Blizz, do a permanent syphoning of 10% of Powerstrike's MMR into my account.
He'll get his problem fixed, and i'll become the most powerful Silver ever! Today SC2, tomorrow HOTS, the day after LOTV all mine for the taking!! MUHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHHAHAHHHA ^*,..,*^ |

Maybe my MMR got messed up at the beginning of season when they extended the range where you meet people, so i was matched against bronzies and i won around 15 games ez-pz then? |

Your league is probably screwing you over. Most people in 4v4 have extremely low MMRs so the game doesn't want to match you with them, so it searches for 7 more people with high MMR for ages.
I find it weird a Master player would enjoy imba sillyfests that 4v4 are. I mean ok, perhaps occasionally, but for silly fun I'd rather go and play something else, like Rayman Origins for example. than lose time on 4v4s.. |

Seriously - just because 4v4 is different it doesnt mean its silly. Above gold/plat there is actual strategy involved and not so random as some people think. There are map/spawn combinations that are unwinnable thats true and some of the maps are retarded. There is a great team strategy thread over on TL with in-depth strategy tips for 2v2,3v3,4v4 for all three races. Check it out and go play 4v4, yay!!! |

I am aware of at least one utterly broken 4v4 strategy. It involves 2 Z, T and P, look it up. 4v4 is silly. Period. People who claim otherwise are people who want to use their team league icon as a compensation for their lack of skill. You may enjoy team games, it's all good, but treating them as seriously competitive or balanced... lolz. |

Oh, and on topic:
Didnt Huk have this problem when he was #1GM on the NA server? I seem to recall that he had to wait 20+ minutes for games even when the SC2 popularity was at its peak (30k games worldwide compared to as low as 2-3k nowadays). I guess the 4v4 random crowd with high MMR is too small. If the system would broaden its search too much I guess you would end up being matched with 3 bronzie teammates versus an arranged master league team ;) I play a few random 4v4s myself (gold) and the MMR system gets you some gray hairs occasionally. How about a bronze teammate with a grand total of 16 wins in your team vs gold-plat opponents with 1000+ wins? Side note: Its kind of funny how the hard-coded "ESTIMATED WAIT: 1 minute" is still there. It isnt (and never was) an estimation of the wait time, its just there to make you think you dont have time for a quick smoke while waiting... |
Oh, and on topic: You do realize it is very hard to find someone when your rank 1 GM right? No matter how many people are playing this game. Just heard DeMuslim on his stream the other day, he is close to rank 1 GM, took a while to find a match and he said "my MMR is just too damn high to find a match". |

Ladder isn't built for the top 0.1% or 0.01% or 0.00001% of the players. If it works fine for 99% of the playerbase, is adequate for other 0.9% and broken for the final 0.1% I say it still works rather fine. Better then most software systems. In fact it's not that the system is lacking, it's simply the law of statistics. People on both ends on the Gaussian curve are always very much alone. If you want short queue times, get to the top of the curve which is what, Gold/Plat, and stop improving. That's what I did, and it works fine for me. :) |

I usually do ( used to...) few 4v4's to warm up on my mechanics before i start 1v1, that's why I'd play random, warm up get my fingers going ;d and it's also a fun mod, because when i play 1v1 i must be 100% focused and execute everything right, in 4v4 i can go for some fun stuff chill enjoy the game.
