I want to play but not ladder

Now that I'm rank #2 plat in 3v3, I have no desire to play more. By not playing, I stay at top, rather than risking dropping in the ladder if I start to lose. And going up a league isn't happening, because I've been rank #1 in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 for a long time... but nothing ever happened, never got promoted despite winning a lot. I just gave up on the ladder.
I can easily get to rank #1 in every league, just play a few games and you're there. But going up a league is like trying to reach for the skies, never gonna happen. Yet, there are players in the league above me that never play this game, are rank #99 and played 1 game this season. How's that fair? The ladder system is sh|t. If you want a fair ladder system throw all the unactives into some purgatory and let them stay there until they've earned the right to be on the ladder. I don't play ladder much, compared to others, but really, do you have to play 100 games a day just to be able to shake up that ladder system to promote you? So, excuse me why I want to opt out of the ladder. Losing isn't the big issue, it's the ever pointless struggle for the unattainable on a badly broken ladder. Also, I don't like how the ladder system forces certain playstyle out of people. |

Do you even know how stupid that all sounds. You claim you could easily win everything, yet you seem to care you don't drop from league which is not really possible if you play your normal style win or lose. If you are bad it equalizes you to different league or if you win you get better opponent for you. Same system even it was unranked or not. For me it looks all you care care is your rank and yet you have tried entire thread say you don't. That makes no sense. Game doesn't force people play certain style, it's the way game is played and that makes it SC2. You don't make your own rules. If this game allows more leash games would be over two hours long and that's not really point. We have enough problem coming if HotS is going to split player base with different ladders and then some people try ask unranked ladder so they can what? If you really think game would be any different experience in unranked you are wrong. No doubt you now start quoting me. Don't bother we know your opinion already. This topic have anyway slipped out from OP and gone for very reason and that's your frustration not being promoted in team ladder. I'd say lock this topic as nosense it is but no doubt you want to rant more and make yourself even more silly. |

That's because rank is correlated more with games played than with skill... as you well know. |
Appel, I've always been meaning to ask you: is your name supposed to be Apple, but you had a little typo when you made it? If not then what does Appel mean? It means "apple", as in the fruit in dutch. I find that more appropriate Anyway, get off your high horse. "I'm so good 'n got good rank dur dur". This whole thread has been nothing but attentionseeking on your part. Stop being rediculous and just play the game, if you don't want to play the game, don't come whining like a little kid that you can't deal with the pressure of facing someone over the interet in a video game.
