And I'd like to have the sound changed, SC1 Hydralisk sound attack was awesome, the one in SC2 is just too silent

These Heart Of The Swarm Combat Report are PROGRAMMED.

Nothing Happens random, they just want to show how awesome the new units and buffs are, those are not real matches and didn't use any real tactic in the ladder even if it was a bronze match. Who really knows how these units and buffs really work in real matches? even Blizzard doesn't know 100% ( not blaming them so much ) So after HoTS release there will be Overpowered units and like a Fix every 3 days.

About Hydralisk: Speed Buff is good, but still not solve the problem: The Hydra will walk fast outside creep, but still a Tier 2 so instead of going for Hydras you'd better go for Infestors , Queens , Mutalysc for your Anti Air.

So Goodbye Hydralisk again

Spread creep. Hydras on creep are as fast as stimmed marines. Can't be arsed to spread creep? Don't get hydras.

I actually use hydra's pretty often. They got a great dps and work well vs terran bio and portoss gateway with roaches to tank the dammage. Also they give you good aa, what makes them usefull agains muta's. But due to their low hp they get hard countered by sieged siege tanks and colossi. Then they get useless.

Its just because roach can furfill the needs of hydra much better because in masses they provide enough dps, making the hydra useless COMPARED to roach. Although they wern't as useless at the beginning where roach hydra was very popular. ALso they good when you know protoss goes many gateway units, cause it takes alot of time to accually counter hydras with buildings and upgrades. But to be honest when collosus and templar get out, hydra pretty much useless then

Have you even looked at the changes they are gonna bring in with "Heart Of The Swarm"?

I don't know why Blizz don't add to hydras mutate into lurkers like in BW, although it's in editor.

They are getting a huge speed buff in HotS so i doubt they'll get anything in WoL.

unfortunally, a speedbuff won't make up for the low health, or the "light armor" tag.

Giving hydras speed buff, without giving them more hp and/or a special ability, will not make them more used at all.

the speedbuff that will make them run faster into their death? Hydras are still unsuable

speedbuff to hydras make them kinda zergling - ish but lategame and very usefull in sniping expos, illing workers and running away. not to let them engage in a big battle, although thats my prediction

So after not using a unit for 2 years you feel like you are the right person to call it useless? I know hydras aren't the greatest unit but they have their places in pro games and I've been beaten by roach hydra in a TvZ at masters level.

In 2v2 and above I find it kind of amusing to have a Hydralisk Den waiting in case of a major switch in tactics from the other team. Since the armor upgrades are shared for ranged and melee you can quickly produce some decent late-game-AA while waiting for air or other techs.
