Almost in diamond ! For over 1 month !

C'mon...this is just retarded. I am top platinum for over a month now...most of the times 1st place...i win vs diamond and platinum the only problem i believe im not promoted is i ocasionally make an ugly lose streak and !@#$ up my promotion but seriously, i don't know what to do anymore, i am doing something wrong and dunno, i looked at Shokz guide, watched white ra streams live and viewed matches from HD and husky and nothing i actually feel like getting better but i just feel like i just can't beat my opponents
Against protoss i ALWAYS win. In any way...doesnt matter, i micro better i just play good vs toss, PVP is my matchup When i see zerg its stupid to say this i just facepalm and i start the %^-*ting myself process. they just overwhelm me with roaches...ok i can hold it eventually with base aggro and all that good for me but they keep expending while i have to defend my base from multiple strikes ...zerglings in 3rd...mass roaches in natural but !@#$ that while they what ? take 4th and 5th ? i cant even harrass the %^-*er since i have to defend like crazy...if i try to make a timing attack i fail due to spine crawlers and he can just transition between roaches zerglings so damn easy. Or on the other hand if you play macro gz he won he will just make mass mutas and with all the chokes in your base to defend you can say goodbye to your base even with a ton of blink stalkers. Vs terran hell i dont even want to start...they just outmass you ...multiple drops everywhere...ok i can eventually defend against that but...i don't know what to say. Don't really wanna say i'm a noob noob i'm an average players stuck in top platinum what can i say, what do you guys thing about this ? anyone had some luck with getting into diamond ? and how the hell did you do it as a protoss ! :)) if its so hard to get to diamond how hard is it to get to master trololol, what am i doing wrong ? well looking at your match history is it questionable whether you are ready for diamond league. I estimate you winrate overal 50% is and according to blizzard you need at least 60 %. And you rank doesn't say anything about your skill level, somebody who doesn't play as much as you do can still be beter and be ranked in diamond.

Well yes...i never said differently, i mainly realise thats why i don't get in diamond but i mentioned the problem why i don't get there asweal. And...thats was the thing i kinnda needed help with because i'm sure there are others in this situation. |

The promotional system is made that way so you dont get promoted if your mmr doesn't matchup with the diamond players. If you gonna be promoted now it seems you wouldn't have much wins so it will result in demote. About PvZ - Try 2-base sentry immortal combo [Watch MaNa vs. Stephano from the latest dreamhack]. Now your MMR is kind of in chaos - you lost a lot of games and won a lot too - when you're going to have streaks of wins with favored/slightly favored players - you will get promoted :) |

Being high in your league doesn't mean that you should promote. If somebody players 20 games a day, loses 11, he is still high in his league probably but should he promote while he loses more than wins? no,
Good you look at that kind of things except a few things, although WhiteRa is a really nice player and he is ofc a pro, he probably is not the best player too learn of. He makes a lot of mistakes during his games and his special tactics are not too great always and revolve around surprise and good micro, great you watch husky but seriously if you want to learn something from a caster go to day[9].
What build do you use then if you win 90 % of your pvp's.
I know your feeling bro but last time out of 10 pvz i fought 9 x against mass muta anyway no matter what i did.
Leave some units at your main like 2 stalkers and a zealot in case of drops or set some obs or pylons around your base, have a HT if you have tech or 4 stalkers and destroy the drop before he notices you or the drop will be deflected.
average players belong in plat or lower.
getting high as protoss is not hard. Staying high or get to the top is much harder then with other races though.
cannon rush everything:D just joking

ill just respond to you like this a. Thats not the reason i mentioned i'm high platinum that i HAVE to get promoted because of it, i just mentioned it so i underline the fact that i'm not random top 100 plat, i'm up there and i'm close. b. I ocasionally watch day 9 asweal yes... he just makes things soo damn long he doesn't know to just stuff faster but hey its just my opinion :) c. Vs toss i go 1 base all in most of the times, i move to both xel nagas with my army made out of 1 immortal sentry and mass zealots while 1st collossi is coming out ...proxy pylon 2nd xel naga and while pylon is rdy collosi comes to my army...then i warp another round of zealots and go...collossus is not there for dmg ofc...just so he doesnt bother to force field me out the ramp. d. i know average players belong in platinum but i have that diamond achievment from last year and i was diamond after 2 months after the game was released, dont get me wrong pls, im not saying this like i wanna show you how badass i am, NO, i just wanna say i can't stand being here and i know i can do it and i don't know what i'm doing wrong, ofc 1 year of SC2 inactivity does this to you but i wanna get back on track e. possibly i'm too affraid to be more agressive or try to take initiative myself, vs zerg i always try to make the best defence against zerg not thinking that he is freely expanding all over the map or i don't know. f. Cannon rush actually takes good micro asweal as far as i remember, i don't use it, not because its cheesy but because i just dont like it period :D Hope you understand what i want to say :P |
Why is the name of this thread "Almost in diamond! For over 1 month". It screams to me like "i want to go to diamond!"
Day[9] was an example but i meant that Husky is pretty useless to learn anything from.
Always going one base all-in won't make you better, when you come in higher league it will be countered i think.
you have to wait the promotion system made by blizzard is not so great and it always takes a long time to promote. For me i have been in plat for 4 seasons and been on higher ranks.
Most important scout when the third base comes up. This can tell you what he does but more importantly for scouting, scout the gas geysers if he comes with fast geyser on third it is for certain muta's, only minerals it's for roaches.

A good zerg will always have a base more then you, creep everywhere and tech something to annoy the !@#$ out of you. Like mutas, or brood lords or anything that is annoying... |
He needs to be around 50% win ratio with the players in diamond (around that MMR) And 60% against plat... Its not that you have to be better then the diamond players to get to that league lol.. |
If i remember correctly about the artircle about climbing the ladder they you are near promotion if you win 7 of every 12 games which is a winrate around 60%. |
The best build order against Terrans I've found so far is 1 gate into robotics, then 2 more gates and expand. If you see him going fast expand, you can do it as well. Then get fast charge and throw down a robo bay for colossus production and take a 3rd. When you have 2-3 colossi, tech to templars and storm. Diamond terrans can't do anything against colossi + storm. And against drops, it really helps making 2-3 cannons at the edge of each base. About getting to diamond: it's really hard, I was about to get there too (1st place in my division for a month), but then fell on unfortunate loss streak and thought I would never get there. But after some games against platinum opponents, I got promoted. BUT: there is a HUUUGE skill gap between low diamond and top plat. So perhaps you're not ready yet. If you still want to practice PvT, you can add me in game (char code 108). I've lost only 1 TvP this season, so if you're able to beat me, then you're probably ready for diamond :) |
