Anyone knows anything about Hots release date ? Any recent news ? Stuff like that ? i'm asking because who knows maybe blizzard said something about this, and you know how it is looking over the internet for a release date so why not ask here among s2 players :D.

No, they will pick people at random I imagine.

With the beta for WoL there was a point where if you pre-ordered you got beta, they might do that again I guess?

Yes, we do intend to run a beta test for Heart of the Swarm multiplayer, and we expect it to start sometime in the summer of 2012.

Sure it might get delayed, but I would be very surprised if Hots wasn't out by the end of this year

Because once you bought the game you have the same right at getting a beta key like everyone else whatever you do in the game...even if you bought it for lost viking, your problem. It would not be fair.

I'd bet 10$ we won't see beta this year.

*Some* of the places, yes.

But that competition finished a while ago.

im sure the beta will be pretty soon but the actual game i think will come January or February
since we cant have diablo 3 MoP and heart of the swarm release in the same year and they said that they will release 2 titles this year ( no chance of them delaying MoP for heart of the swarm)

Rumors say it's Jan/Feb 2013, perhaps if we lucky around xmas.

There will be a Hots showmatch on Sunday.

The amount of media coming out for Hots recently really does point to a beta coming soon.
